Point being if you wait for the next nexus, all you did was wait an extra 8mo. to 1 yr for technology thats still gonna be obsolete 5 months after you buy it. You cant have that type of mind set with technology or you will never be happy with what you have.

8-12 months in cell phone years = 5 dog years. No doubt in 8 months there will be something more uber if you wait another 3-4 months after that then another 5-6 months after that something super uber.

I completely agree. 2-years is almost too long with today’s rapid rate or technology improvements and changes.

I agree with that. I think a better Nexus device will be out within 8months to a year.

3 years is simply too long for any phone contract. 2 years is the sweet spot. This low price is not worth the tradeoff here. I got my Nexus on Verizon and wouldn’t have gone for a $99 3 year even if they had offered it.

I am so confused. So the Nexus line of devices are usually good for much longer than others, with updates practically guaranteed. But the hardware seems to be sub-par compared to the other flagships and what they offered. A three year contract would seem fair for a Nexus One or S, but this one just doesn’t seem to have the hardware specs needed for such longevity.

Anyone?
