Team unveils USB 2.0/eSATA X092 flash drive

Several new dual interface flash drives have been unveiled recently and many of them are sporting USB 3.0 connectivity. Team has announced its new dual format flash drive that sports eSATA but uses older USB 2.0 tech rather than the new speedier interface.

The Team X092 USB diskFire shadow needs no power adapter getting all its juice from the USB port. The maker uses quadruple channel technology to write to four storage devices inside the drive case at one time for faster performance.

Team promises the drive is good for 110MB/sec read speed and 40MB/sec write speed when connected via eSATA. At those speeds, it takes 42 seconds to copy a 4.5GB movie file. The drive will be offered in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
