If this were Apple’s doing, they’d be dropping the Nook as well, no? Amazon competes with Target in just about every category, and every e-Reader Target sells directs a huge stream of future media purchases to their chief competitor

Why buy a Kindle at Target and pay sales tax when I can easily get it tax free? For that matter, why buy ANYTHING at Target when I can get it tax free (and usually cheaper) on Amazon?

Amazon products can be bought without paying anything to Target.
