Today our favorite picture-based-blog-viewer Pulse News has decided to feature our sister site Android Community! We recently learned that Android Community is one of the highest-added blog feeds added in the entirety of the application (with SlashGear right alongside it,) so we were gleeful in finding it also featured in the tiny list released today via the bigtime Twitter and AlphonsoLabs blog announcements. Motorola's big launch of CES 2011 and the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet on the market, the Motorola XOOM has a lot to live up to. In its haste to reach Verizon shelves, the XOOM could seem a little half-baked; it doesn't get Flash Player support for another few weeks, and won't have 4G until an update sometime in Q2. Still, as the iPad has shown, there are undoubtedly benefits to being first out of the gate, and there's undoubtedly plenty on offer. Can the XOOM bypass pricing skepticism? Welcome to the latest edition of the SlashGear Week in Review. This week was MWC 2011 in Barcelona, Spain so there are hoards of phone announcements from the show. The Smasung Galaxy S II went official last Sunday packing in a 4.27-inch screen with WVGA resolution and a 1GHz processor. On Monday we landed some hands on time with the Galaxy S II and put that time on video for you to check out. We think that the smartphone is hugely impressive.

We're at the Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb event here at Google headquarters and the first thing our head man Vince does is download the Android Community application from the Android Marketplace on a Motorola XOOM. In a surprise appearance during the Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb event at the Googleplex today, the folks on stage got a call from none other than CeeLo Green, aka the Soul Machine, known most recently for his hit single "Forget You." This appearance was supposed to be more of a surprise early on in the program, but apparently Cee-Lo was unavailable when they called.
