Motorola and Samsung tablets touted by Google’s Page

This week in an interview that also included more volatile comments surrounding Apple's press down on Android, Google's Larry Page spoke on which devices he worked with on a daily basis. Most interesting, though perhaps most obvious, were his choices for Android tablet. When asked if there were an Android tablet that he was happy with, he replied with two brands Google has worked rather closely with over the past few years: Motorola and Samsung.

Woot-sold XOOM refurb-tablets contain previous owners data

Motorola has announced this week that XOOM units sold through Woot.com's refurbish and sell program in the past few months may have previous users data aboard. This mishap stems from improperly reformatted devices being brought in to various dealers in the last year, the groups leading up to Woot's resale having not taken measures necessary to assure a clean wipe of the memory these devices held. Motorola is offering up a free two-year membership to an Experian credit monitoring system to make sure their bank account information specifically is not taken advantage of.

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 press photo leaked, name appears official

Verizon appear very much to be getting ready to release the next generation of Motorola tablets, one to replace the original XOOM, this time titled XYBOARD and looking to be situated in portrait position rather than the landscape we saw with the original. This device is set to have an 8.2-inch display, unique to the tablet world, may well have a quad-core processor by the time it's released more than likely inside 2012, and by the looks of it, this is going to by just as heavy duty as the original and more - look at that fabulous aluminum plate! But let's talk about the name for a minute - that name is just… interesting.

Motorola XOOM 2 and Spyder leaked photos appear

When a leaked set of photos of a device, or in this case two devices: the Motorola Spyder (aka DROID RAZR) and XOOM 2, are released with carrier logos splayed across them, it generally means that release time is near. We've learned this year that this isn't always true, but on the whole we can judge a leak by its cover. Here what we're seeing is a brand new handset and a second-generation tablet on the way straight out of the generally-ok photo takers hands. Motorola, will you bring the heat inside 2011?

HTC Jetstream Review

HTC Jetstream Review

Presenting HTC's vision for the perfect 10-inch Android tablet, the HTC Jetstream, complete with a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor under the hood and a pricy $700 USD bill attached to it carried by AT&T. The question we've got on our minds, and have had on our minds since the pricing was first announced is: how could a 10-inch tablet enter an environment with several 10-inch tablets already having been out for several months with a significantly higher price and expect to do well for sales? As it turns out, this HTC tablet does not hold back - not in construction or content - but will its individual specifications be enough to create one product worthy of the price tag?

Apparently, they will function as a "pilot" program for the upgrade process before it's rolled out to the masses.

Motorola XOOM 4G Could Be The Mystery Verizon Tablet?

Motorola XOOM 4G Could Be The Mystery Verizon Tablet?

Earlier this week, Verizon released a new commercial via YouTube to tout the speeds of its LTE network calling itself "the one network powerful enough to set your tablet free." During the short 30-second spot, there was a brief clip of a woman holding an as of yet unidentified tablet. This, of course, caused a stir of speculation as to what this mystery tablet could be.
