24 hours after game developer Bethesda posted a countdown timer on its website, the clock has run down and now it's officially official: Fallout 4 will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. No release date has announced yet, however the official sites for the game now show the first trailer, as well as direct users to keep an out for Bethesda's E3 press conference on June 14th, scheduled for 7:00pm PT.

Microsoft launches Xbox One Independent Developers bundle in Australia

It's always a good sign that a game console is hitting its stride when it starts becoming available in a number of bundles with pack-in games. Following the recent Xbox One Master Chief Collection Bundle, Microsoft has just announced an "Independent Developers Pack," going on sale first in Australia. The bundle comes with the standard 500GB console, plus seven games from independent developers. Even better, it is believed that the controller that comes inside will be one of the new models featuring an integrated 3.5mm headphone jack.

Now that it has been revealed that a new entry in the Need for Speed game series is coming this year and will act as a "reboot" of the franchise, players have been wondering what they can expect this time around. A new trailer for LEGO Dimensions is released with Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown from Back to the Future. One of several "Dimensions" in this LEGO game is Back to the Future, with Doc himself appearing as a playable character. Also appearing is Marty McFly, along with the first appearance of the LEGO Hoverboard. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment reveal this morning more gameplay from the LEGO Dimensions multiverse. Now we'll just be crossing our fingers for far more Biff Tannen.

This week the folks at Bethesda have given us just a few seconds of footage from the next DOOM. NPD: Mortal Kombat X was April’s top game, 3DS sales spiked

The NPD Group has released its numbers for April, and overall things looked good for the gaming industry. As you might have expected, Mortal Kombat X (check out our review) took the #1 slot in terms of bestselling games (GTA V came in second), and things were looking particularly good for portable console sales — Nintendo’s 3DS saw a large jump in sales over the first four months of this year in comparison to last year, with a 65% or so increase.
