Steam users eclipse Xbox Live, PSN still far and away tops

This afternoon the folks at Valve have let it be known that they're rolling in with a cool 65 million users total for the Steam gaming network. This number can be compared to the most recent report from Sony on the PlayStation Network working with 110 million users and Microsoft reporting that they're in at 48 million users in Xbox Live. These numbers are not the same as "active users", a number which is much more difficult to grasp.

Halo: Spartan Assault is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 sometime in December, Microsoft has announced. The exact date wasn't announced, but you can bet it'll show up in time for the holidays. Currently the game is available only on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 machines, as it has been since its Jul. 18, 2013 release. The Xbox versions, which will be available as a digital download, come with some exclusive features.

Grand Theft Auto Online update hits PS3, Xbox 360 coming soon

Those waiting for the update to get up and running with Grand Theft Auto Online for GTAV can begin hitting the download button immediately - supposing they're working with a PlayStation 3, that is. The Xbox 360 update to the GTA Online universe will be released soon - if not as soon as this afternoon. As the Grand Theft Auto Online universe continues its less-than-perfect launch week, the folks at Rockstar Games have issued a note that suggests a full-on software update will be brought on as early as tomorrow. This update will bring about a host of fixes for the game for issues that have popped up over the past several days, these issues including log-in errors for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 right off the bat. And not the bat you see in the upper-right-hand corner of the title image you're seeing here.

Megaman has firm a place in the hearts of many, the evidence of which is blatant in the runaway success of its descendant -- Mighty No. 9's -- Kickstarter campaign. The funding goal was ambitious, seeking millions, yet saw its milestones reached at a clipped rate, such as the unlocking of PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions back on September 17. The campaign reached its end on Kickstarter this evening, managing to hit its goal ahead of the countdown timer.
