Are Consoles Pushing Gamers to the PC?

Are Consoles Pushing Gamers to the PC?

There are PC gamers and there are console gamers. The console gamers would rather not get involved with PC gaming, while PC gamers look at those who invest and consoles and can’t help but wonder why they would invest in a device that won’t change over a significant period of time.

Years ago, PC gamers and console gamers stayed within their silos and didn’t even consider coming out. After all, to be a PC gamer was a badge of honor. And to play console games was to say that investing in new GPUs and high-end keyboards and mice was a mistake.

Made in installments of $250,000, all players of the game online will be given a total of $500,000 total - half a million bucks - for the trouble they likely went through when they logged on in the first place.

Grand Theft Auto Online is down for many, not just you

Grand Theft Auto Online is down for many, not just you

Here on launch day for the Grand Theft Auto V (or GTA 5, whichever you prefer) online edition, it would appear that the suggestions of a server meltdown of sorts were not entirely unfounded. What's being seen across the grid - throughout the United States, at least - is the inability to launch online at all. Seeing an apology from Rockstar cloud services appears to be the predominant experience this morning as the Grand Theft Auto Online universe launches for the first time.

Grand Theft Auto Online in-game payments for cash: Rockstar confirms

Gamers immediately flooded the comments with concerns this could upset the delicate balance of power in this game of mindless brute force.

Grand Theft Auto V lays claim to “fastest to $1 billion” sales crown

Grand Theft Auto V lays claim to “fastest to $1 billion” sales crown

Suggesting that they've attained the honor of becoming the fastest entertainment property in history to achieve worldwide retail sales of $1 billion dollars, GTA V sets itself up against not only other video games, but feature films as well. Though it's not the same industry save its ability to entertain, it is entertaining (perhaps ironically), to compare the sales of Grand Theft Auto V to sales of tickets to major motion picture releases in our collective past. What both Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games have done this week is to suggest that they're the new kings of speed sales.
