Fujitsu Celsius H910 and H710 workstations break cover

Fujitsu has pulled the wraps off a pair of new workstation notebooks that are both in the Celsius line. The two machines allow professional users to run high-end computing applications from a notebook rather than being tired to a desktop computer all the time. The machines are up to running CAD/CAM and graphics rendering programs and deliver power that was previously only available on desktops according to Fujitsu. Read The Full Story

Cryo Octane workstation breaks benchmark records

Cryo has announced that its awesome Octane EDP-WS has shattered the world record for performance on a common benchmark for workstation performance. The Octane has 12 physical cores supporting up to 24 threads and can be crammed full of up to 48GB of memory. The processors can be overclocked to 4.5GHz and the works uses custom liquid cooling. NVIDIA Quadro 600 & 2000 Fermi-Based Cards Unveiled, Available Now

NVIDIA has officially announced today that they've made their two brand new Fermi-based workstation cards available for purchase. The company is scaling back the cores, but promises that the two new cards will be less expensive than their predecessors, and will also offer better performance over the previous cards they are replacing. The Quadro 600 has been issued only 96 cores, while the Quadro 2000 features 192 cores. Both cards hike up the performance, according to NVIDIA, even as they scale back on the hardware.
