SlashGear had the opportunity to play with the Motorola A3100’s user interface today and must say we are pleasantly surprised. There are many widgets laid out in a wheel that can be scrolled left or right a lot like you would when using a mobile phone with TouchFLO 3D.

ASUS Glaxy 7 smartphone hands-on suggests solid WM6.1 option

, Dec 18th 2008 Discuss [0]

ASUS' Glaxy 7 - not to be confused with their P565 - has had its turn in front of the Mobile-Review camera, and though there are some moderate disappointments it's generally a good showing for the Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone.  While the 800MHz Marvell processor that the device was purported to have has slipped by the wayside (to be replaced with an altogether more pedestrian 528Mhz Qualcomm MS7200A CPU) performance is still good, and ASUS' Glide UI does a decent job of disguising the Microsoft' OS. i-mate Go Windows Mobile interface introduced

, Dec 8th 2008 Discuss [0]

i-mate has announced their i-mate Go interface today. Intended for the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, this interface makes it so WinMo is more easily accessible on touch-screen devices. In fact, it's rather iPhone-like, at least in terms of its large buttons. The Go interface makes it easy to access your most frequently used applications with just a simple tap. You can even customize the icons to appear as you wish and select the applications you would like represented on the main screen. You can download the i-mate Go interface now for free and it is compatible with the smartphone maker's Ultimate 9502, Ultimate 8502, Ultimate 8150, Ultimate 6150 and the JAMA 101 models. Touchscreen navigation on Windows Mobile is rather difficult, so the i-mate Go is really just another in a long line of interfaces from various phone makers meant to make navigating WinMo a little bit easier.
