Inhon Tablet has fold-activated CPU boost

Inhon first attracted attention with its amazingly thin Blade 13 laptop, a 13-inch laptop that weighs in at less than 2-pounds and is only 0.39-inches thin. According to the folks at Engadget, following very closely on the laptop's heels is the Inhon Tablet, which has an optional keyboard that immediately makes one think of the Surface. Microsoft working with OEMs on smaller Windows tablets

During Microsoft's quarterly earnings call yesterday, CFO Peter Klein mentioned that the company is working with OEMs to manufacturer "a new suite of small touch devices powered by Windows." Lenovo C540 All-In-One Desktop PC Review

We first got word of the Lenovo C540 all-in-one back back in November of last year, however it wasn’t until January when we saw a complete set of details and some pricing. Dell Exec: Windows RT response is “still pretty negative”

It's not the system Microsoft thought it'd be - Windows RT, the alternate to Windows 8 for lower-powered systems. It's like the tablet version of Windows 8, but with many of the same bits and pieces of the full deal. Microsoft flirting with boot-to-desktop and Start button in Windows 8.1 Blue

Microsoft will reportedly backtrack on attempts to push the Windows 8 Start Screen front and center, leaks suggest, with the upcoming Windows 8.1 set to include the option to bypass the controversial touch-friendly UI. The so-called "Blue" refresh of Windows 8 will feature the option to boot straight to the desktop mode, sources tell ZDNet, rather than defaulting to the Metro-style interface, a much-requested feature from those not using tablet or touch-enabled PCs. Bing Apps for Windows 8 get major updates

Late least year, Microsoft rolled out a half dozen Bing Apps for Windows 8 users, each one focused on a specific category, such as travel and sports. The apps were designed to offer "immersive vertical experiences," and now, about six months later, a big line of updates for them is being pushed out. The computer market has been taking an absolute beating as more and more consumers opt for mobile devices rather than traditional laptop and desktop computers. Research firm IDC issued a report on the computer industry for Q1 of 2013 this week that illustrates a market in significant decline. Microsoft urges businesses to upgrade from Windows XP

With exactly one year left before Microsoft cuts off all support for Windows XP, Microsoft is urging businesses who are still running the decade-old operating system to upgrade to either Windows 7 or Windows 8. It has also cut off support to Office 2003 today. It has cited a lot of reasons that businesses should upgrade their software, including security risks and lack of technical support if things go awry. Microsoft adds Surface Chinese Edition to confusing line-up

Microsoft has quietly revealed a third version of its Surface Pro tablet, this time including a full version of Office 2013 Home and Student at no extra cost, though you'll have to be in China - and read the language - in order to benefit. The "Surface Chinese Edition" is physically identical to the regular Surface Pro tablet, but swaps Windows 8 Pro for Windows 8 for China. Read The Full Story
