ViewSonic has outed at least part of its MWC 2011 line-up ahead of next week's show, with the new ViewSonic V350 Android smartphone and ViewPad 10Pro dual-booting tablet making their debut. The V350 runs Android 2.2 Froyo with a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen, but more interestingly has dual SIM slots and can maintain two active network connections simultaneously.

At the "Dell Means Business" Press Conference, Dell announced the largest consumer product line they have ever launched, with 39 products in the works. The products include include laptops, tablets, desktops, and workstations. The interesting mention was the 10 inch Android Tablet and maybe a Windows 7 Tablet.

HP TouchSmart 610 and 9300 Elite all-in-ones get deep-tilting desk stand
HP has outed a pair of new TouchSmart all-in-one PCs, the HP TouchSmart 610 Consumer PC and HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC, each of which feature a new reclining hinge that allows them to tilt back by up to 60-degrees for easier desktop use. Each new TouchSmart has a 23-inch LED-backlit HD display (the 610 gets Beats audio, too), and HP reckons that, because of the flexible mount, they'll be a hit with families wanting to share multimedia and with businesses wanting to interact with customers on the same display.

Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 promo: Our Win7 tablet is as obvious as a hammer [Video]
A video demo of Fujitsu's Stylistic Q550 tablet has been released, and the company seems pretty keen to differentiate the slate from other Windows 7 machines. According to director of mobile product Meinolf Althaus, Fujitsu's custom UI attempts to mimic the usability of a hammer: not in that you have to thump it, but in that you automatically recognize how to interact with the tablet, rather than needing to remember what does what.

Acer Aspire One E100 Education netbook dual-boots Windows & Android
Acer has unveiled its latest netbook, the Aspire One E100 Education, and as the name suggests it's targeted at classrooms. The 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 ultraportable dual-boots Windows 7 and Android - the latter being positioned as an instant-on option for quick browsing - and can be specified with a rubberized coating for bump protection; there's also a pocket into which a student can slot their name card, so that multiple E100 units don't get confused.

ASUS Eee Slate EP121 gets official unboxing & walkthrough [Video]

bModo 12G Windows 7 tablet gets video demo
With the tablet torrent at CES 2011 we'll admit to having forgotten about bModo's 12G tablet, announced in October last year, but the 11.6-inch Windows 7 slate has now shown up for a full review. AllTouchTablet picked up the $849.99 slate - which runs a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 single-core CPU with 2GB of RAM and Broadcom's CrystalHD video accelerator - and found the Windows experience to be pretty solid, with media playback impressing.

MSI Tablet with Built-In Projector is Just a Prototype
Not too long ago, it looked like projectors were picking up speed and heading into the mainstream market. They were even being built into phones. But then that phase seemed to get passed over relatively quickly. One market that seems to have shied away from the projector, is the tablet market. To some, a projector and a tablet would make the perfect bed fellows. MSI apparently agrees with those folks, and have created a prototype device that, at least right now, runs Windows 7 and is powered by Intel.

Lenovo U260 IdeaPad Notebook Review
The following is a review of the black and orange Lenovo U260 IdeaPad Windows 7 notebook – a super-comfortable little businessman made for ultra-stylish checkings of online business and perhaps even the playing of some games. The very first thing you’ll notice about this laptop is that it is a fantastic shade of orange – this is one of two colors it can be, (the other being Mocha,) but that’s not the reason you’ll stick around. Nor is the most comfortable experience I’ve had with a notebook since I first started using MacBooks – use this factoid in your judgement of MY judgement, because it makes me a hard customer to sell when it comes to notebooks outside of the industrial designer brilliance employed by Apple. Note first and foremost that I think Apple’s people should talk to Lenovo’s people here if they ever plan on moving away from hard plastic and flat metal surfaces.
A Real Tablet has a Stylus
2011 may be the year of the tablet, but as a segment it’s still painfully immature. Our hands-on with ASUS’ Eee Slate EP121 last week triggered the usual arguments, dismissing the 12.1-inch tablet out of hand because of its perceived “old” technology. Admittedly, there are plenty of points where the EP121 could fall short: ASUS reckon users will see up to 8hrs runtime, which seems hopelessly ambitious for a relatively slimline slate with a Core i5 processor, and the display was frustratingly glossy. Still, the dual-mode hybrid touchscreen is its crowning glory for those who understand that there’s more to a stylus than most – Steve Jobs included – would have you believe.
Evolve III Maestro can’t choose between Windows 7, MeeGo & Android: picks all three [Video]
How many OSes are too many on a tablet? Evolve III reckons three should be sufficient: its Maestro slate usually spends its time in Windows 7, but can also boot into MeeGo or Android depending on the user's mood and inclination. Demonstrated in all its triple-boot splendor to Geek at CES 2011, the Evolve III Maestro runs Intel's Atom N475 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD.
