Nintendo's incoming Wii U has only been up for pre-order for a few days, but already it seems that some retailers are having issues keeping the console in stock. It's time for the first big official list of Wii U games to be brought to light, and with the pricing for the USA, Europe, and Japan already set alongside a November store date, the fun can begin! Epic Mickey 2, as many of you already know, will be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PS3. That wasn't the case for the original Epic Mickey, which was exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo pins hopes on 3DS XL and digital as Wii sales halve

Nintendo saw Wii sales halved in its most recent financial quarter, the company has revealed, with only a surge in 3DS demand helping gross profit grow. Sales of the Wii console dived from 1.56m units in Q1 2011 to 710,000 in Q1 2012 [pdf link], with Nintendo keen to gloss over the dive in favor of focusing on 3DS sales more than doubling from 710,000 to 1.86m in the same period. June NPD: Lego Batman 2 on top, game sales down overall

NPD has released its report of video game sales data for June 2012, and like the months before, it isn't all that pretty. Overall sales of both hardware and software were down 30% year-over-year, dropping from $989 million in June 2011 to $699 million last month. Nintendo Pikmin 2 will grace Wii in the US next month

Confirming earlier reports that the sequel to Nintendo's unique game Pikmin would finally be making its way to US store shelves, Nintendo has announced that it will be available for the Wii in North America on June 10. It will be available, alongside Gamecube-ported Mario Power Tennis, right in the middle of E3 week. Both titles will retail for $20, but it's really Pikmin 2 that should make the most waves. Wii U with Android tipped for launch

Today Nintendo‘s next gaming console Wii U has been tipped to be running Android applications right out of the box. This situation is not unfounded, as Android apps have been integrated into other systems, sort of, in the past, but this time it could be much more simple than what we’ve seen before. Where before we’ve seen systems such as BlackBerry attempt to integrate Android by making the process to port apps over to their system appear relatively easy, this time Nintendo may be building Android into their system, for real, to work right alongside their own user interface and software.
