Watch Dogs released on Wii U at long last

As of this week, Watch Dogs is available for Wii U. This is after the initial delay of the game for all platforms, word that the game would never get to Wii U, and a final - normal - release of the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This release for Wii U may very well be Ubisoft's last port of an adult-aimed game for Nintendo systems as they've previously mentioned they'd not be bringing Assassin's Creed: Unity to the Wii U or any other Nintendo system through the future.

Smash Bros Wii U release set for November 21st

Timed right on top of the holiday season this year is Super Smash Bros for Wii U on November 21st, 2014. This release comes weeks after Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS, a game that was released on the 3rd of October. Despite having only been released this past weekend, Nintendo reports that they’ve already sold more than 2.8 million units of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS worldwide. Nintendo also suggests that - in no small part due to Smash Bros - they’re set to have a strong holiday season.

Nintendo America may show no signs of getting the new 3DS and 3DS XL, but US gamers do at least get a trio of new bundles, along with details on the first range of NFC-enabled amiibo figures. Nintendo owes Philips over patent-infringing Wii rules court

Nintendo faces the prospect of paying Philips a cut of every Wii and Wii U console it has sold, after a UK court found that the Japanese firm's use of motion gaming infringed on two patents. The suit - which also found that Nintendo had not infringed on a third patent, despite Philips' allegations - was decided when the judge deemed the gaming company hadn't sufficiently demonstrated that putting a motion sensor and a camera together were in fact "common general knowledge" as had been argued.
