After the admittedly bungled showing that was E3 2011's Wii U coming out party, it looks like Nintendo may still decide to keep the console's name after all. It has been speculated that the company may alter the console's title and say the "Wii U" was just its codename. But after ramped up marketing efforts, it appears Nintendo has no plans to do that. Spike TV confirms live Nintendo press conference broadcast

Nintendo will allow Spike TV's cameras into its E3 press conference next month. The cable network has confirmed that it will carry the presentation, in its entirety with no commercial interruption on June 5 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. MTV2 will simulcast the event. Spike and MTV2 join G4 in tapping into what could be the largest television audience for the E3 press conference circuit to date. Nintendo will arguably the most anticipated because of the Wii U. New Wii U design leaks

Details of an updated version of Nintendo’s Wii U controller have apparently leaked, with the touchscreen tablet showing numerous ergonomic tweaks ahead of its next public outing at E3 2012. The photo was briefly shared by a games tester working for Traveller’s Tales Games, the team behind the LEGO series of titles, on a since-deleted Twitter profile, suggesting the Wii U has gained some proper analog sticks, among other things.

Joining the PS3 and the Xbox 360 in the cloud game, Nintendo will apparently bring the option of storing game save files and user profiles to the Wii U. Apparently there is a rumor to Luigi's Mansion in the works, and it is slated to appear on Nintendo's upcoming Wii U console. At least, that's what one online retailer seems to believe. The website Play.com has listed Luigis Mansion 2 as a title available for pre-order on the new home console. Nintendo's next-generation Wii U is garnering plenty of interest thanks to its non-standard form factor and controller, but any gamer knows that a console lived and dies by its titles. Super Smash Bros on Wii U will use 3DS support

Nintendo feels the most logical way to expand the Super Smash Bros franchise is to have 3DS integration. The company confirmed at last year's E3 conference in June that a new Super Smash Bros title was in development for its upcoming console, the Wii U.
