AT&T GALAXY S 4 bug hits Wi-fi tethering: fix in the works

This week the AT&T Samsung GALAXY S 4 has been discovered to have a bit of a bug in its build affecting users' ability to work with stock wi-fi hotspot and tethering. While some third-party services still work to allow tethering and wi-fi hotspot, AT&T's direct menu support is not appearing working on some (if not all) units at the moment. SlashGear has reported this issue to Samsung and they are currently looking into it.

Time Warner Cable is attempting to combat Google Fiber, or at least suppress the damage Google Fiber will bring to its business, by offering free WiFi hotspots throughout the city of Austin, Texas. The catch is that in order for you to take advantage of TWC's "free" public WiFi hotspot, you have to already be a TWC internet subscriber. Those that aren't yet subscribers will be charged a fee.

Bloisi spoke at All Things D's conference, D: Dive Into Mobile about the future of mobile in Latin America. He stated that in Latin America, "The smartphone will be your whole connection to the internet."
