Escaped penguin evades capture by swimming at “tremendous speed”

Calling all cars, calling all cars! Be on the lookout for escaped penguin, swims at tremendous speed, considered armed and cute. A one-year-old Humboldt penguin has escaped from the Tokyo Sea Life Park. The young penguin went on the lamb recently and was spied swimming in the Kyu-Edo River headed towards Tokyo Bay. Check out the image below this paragraph. No, that isn't some dude planking in a really weird warm-up suit on the side of the mountain in South Africa. What you're seeing is a daredevil that goes by "The Birdman" as he flies from a much higher point on that mountain range to the ground below using a specially designed wing-suit to allow him to glide/fly, sort of like a flying squirrel. Video claims to show long extinct woolly mammoth crossing a Siberian river

A very strange video has surfaced this week that claims to show an extinct woolly mammoth wading through a river. There are several obvious issues, the biggest of which is the fact that the mammoth has been extinct for thousands of years. Austrian daredevil to jump from 23 miles above the Earth’s surface

This stunt is so totally insane it's hard to imagine someone would have the idea of actually pulling it off. Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner plans to pull off a stunt sponsored by the energy drink Red Bull that will lift him 23 miles above the Earth's surface to the edge of space. Once at that altitude, he will jump and free fall back to earth while breaking the sound barrier. I wonder if that means he won't be able to hear his own screams. Read The Full Story

Strange objects found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea create a stir

The Captain and crew of an ocean salvaging operation made an interesting find in the Baltic Sea, which was apparently originally discovered by a company called Ocean Explorer. The new crew is a company specializing in deep-sea salvage, and it appears that they have happened on the same wreck that the Ocean Explorer company found a while back. I recall the photo having surfaced previously because it looks a lot like the Millennium Falcon to me. The team has no idea what the object they discovered using deep-sea side sonar might be. This is one of the weirdest phones I have seen in a very long time. Sharp has unveiled this smartphone in Japan where geeks are known to like some odd stuff. Awesome exhibit shows mythological creature skeletons

Growing up I really liked movies that had mythological creatures in them and Greek mythology in general. I was particularly fond of the idea of strange creatures like the centaur and the Cyclops. Newly discovered molecule might help curb global warming

Apparently, a new molecule has been discovered floating around in the atmosphere that has the ability to possibly fight global warming.
