Refreshed Google TV to miss Google IO, debut for holiday 2011?

Google TV may be faltering, but we'll have to wait longer than next week's Google IO conference in order to see the search giant's proposal for fixing it. That's the latest murmur from the rumor machine, with AllThingsD hearing from their insider sources that while Google will be holding a session for developers wanting to code TV-friendly apps at IO 2011, the actual reveal of the refreshed Google TV - and, indeed, the launch of the Android Market for Google TV - "won't be announced until sometime in the coming months." Vizio's VIA Plus Google TV and Android smartphone and tablet aren't the company's only new products for CES 2011; the company also has a fresh range of Theater 3D HDTVs running the gamut of 22- to 71-inches. The passive 3D sets use battery-free glasses, and all models get Vizio's regular VIA apps - including Netflix, Facebook, Amazon Video on Demand, and Yahoo! Vizio VIA Phone & VIA Tablet detailed as VIA Plus Google TV makes debut

Further details on Vizio's Android powered tablet and smartphone have emerged, with the company confirming that the Via Phone and Via Tablet will come with IR blasters to allow them to double as universal remote controls for your home A/V setup. Both devices have a 1GHz processor, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth, along with HDMI, GPS and a microSD card slot.
