Viliv Announces X7 and X10 Android Tablets: Hands On

The viliv X series tablets have been announced at this year's CES 2011. They support full HD displays that make viewing movies a much more pleasurable experience. Unsure of where these tablets will land, viliv tablets are completely open to either WiMAX, 3g HSPA, or the EVDO networks. Viliv is trying to work with Sprint to become their carrier for the X7 tablet.

Viliv Media Tablet Phone could be 3G-enabled P3 PMP

Viliv's CES 2011 plans were previewed yesterday, with the company's X7 and X10 Android tablets and X70 Windows 7 slate all mentioned, but it turns out that there's a fourth device on the cards which could be even more interesting. Pocketables spotted a Viliv "Media Tablet Phone" mentioned in the invite email but not in any of the press shots, suggesting the company is looking to make an even smaller MID.

Viliv X7 & X10 Android tablets and X70 Windows 7 slate due at CES 2011

Viliv has joined the crowd of companies promising tablets for CES 2011 next month, with both Android and Windows 7 models promised. The Viliv X7 Android Tablet and X10 Android Tablet are billed as offering "anywhere connectivity" (suggesting 3G or perhaps even 4G wireless) and the "longest battery life" respectively, with the X7 presumably having a 7-inch display while the X10 has a confirmed 10.2-inch display.

Viliv X10 tablet takes on iPad with 1080p, HDMI & more

We've a soft spot for Viliv, since the Korean company have actually managed to get more than one MID and/or tablet device onto the market rather than just push out renders, and so the company's new Viliv X10 slate is all the more interesting.  LaptopMag grabbed some hands-on time with the 10-inch 1366 x 768 16:9 capacitive touchscreen tablet, complete with an unspecified ARM-based processor that's 1080p HD capable.  Connectivity puts the iPad in the shade, too, with HDMI, an SD card reader, USB and WiFi, and Viliv reckon there'll be options for 3G and WiMAX too.

Viliv HD5 1080p PMP gets listed; launch imminent?

We've generally stuck to Viliv's MID and netbook ranges before now, but the company's HD5 PMP deserves a second look.  Built around a 5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, the HD5 supports a bevy of video codecs at up to 1080p HD resolution, complete with an HDMI port for hooking up your big-screen TV.  Announced officially back at CES 2010, it's fresh to the company's website and presumably preparing for an imminent launch.

Viliv N5 MID launch delayed until June

Bad news if you've been holding out for Viliv's N5 MID; according to the company, the clamshell Windows 7 PC now won't see its official launch until June 2010, likely meaning availability won't be until July at the earliest.  No reason for the delay has been given, but so far the 4.8-inch MID hasn't even shown up for preorder at the usual importer suspects like Dynamism.
