While we got our first glimpse of Viliv S10 Blade pricing yesterday, when import specialist Dynamism confirmed the convertible touchscreen netbook would kick off from $699, we’ve still been waiting for full pricing across all seven models. A little Google Shopping magic later, however, and one UMPC Portal commenter has dug up all the pricing; as we feared, the S10 Blade isn’t going to be an especially affordable system. Viliv’s S10 Blade, the company’s 10.1-inch convertible touchscreen netbook, has finally gone up for preorder. The good folk at import specialists Dynamism are listing seven SKUs of the netbook; the basic S10 Blade comes with Windows XP, a 60GB HDD and 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor (and thus lacks OS multitouch support), but after that it’s Windows 7 all round and a choice of 32GB or 64GB SSDs.

Look out Creative, Viliv are creeping up behind you. The company have been showing off their latest touchscreen device, and while you might assume it's another MID in actual fact Viliv are describing the P3 as a PMP; either way, you get an indecently skinny 9.8mm chassis, 3.7-inch AMOLED 800 x 480 touchscreen (Nexus One we're looking at you), 800MHz Cortex A8 processor and dual-booting Android and Windows CE.

UMPC and MID manufacturers Viliv have had a pretty good year in their segment, and they’re obviously hoping to start off 2010 in the same manner. According to UMPC Portal, the company is planning on launching two devices at CES in January, with the Viliv N5 making its debut and the Viliv S10 getting its full launch. The S10 is a pretty straightforward 10-inch netbook, but the N5 is a 4.8-inch MID in the manner of the Fujitsu LifeBook UH900 or the UMID mbook M2.
The Viliv S10 may be a size increase for the Korean company, but at 10-inches the convertible touchscreen netbook is still very much an ultraportable. Steve from MID Moves had a chance to grab some hands-on time with the S10, suggesting that the netbook is better put together than Gigabyte’s TouchNote; you can see his video after the cut.

Viliv are best known for their MIDs and UMPCs, but the Korean company have decided to branch out into more mainstream ultraportables. The Viliv S10 has made its debut at IDF this week, and offers a 10-inch 1,366 x 768 resistive convertible touchscreen, Intel’s Atom 1.33GHz or 2.0GHz processors, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

If there's one thing capitalism has taught us, it's that competition is usually good for prices. Newegg have just joined Dynamism in offering the Viliv X70 UMPC, the 7-inch Korean touchscreen tablet, which you'd expect to mean prices were pushed down. Unfortunately Newegg don't seem to have got that memo; their prices are actually a little more expensive than the existing offers.
It’s not quite the same as having a Viliv S7 here in our sweaty, bitten-to-the-quick hands, but we’ll certainly settle for an unboxing video for that vicarious, new-gadget thrill. As we commented the other day, several S7 units have been winging their way to reviewers worldwide, with jkkmobile and jkOnTheRun both receiving theirs this week. Importers Dynamism have released pricing and specification details for the Viliv S7, the latest ultraportable touchscreen device from the Korean company. Coming after the surprisingly popular S5 and well-received X70, the S7 adds a QWERTY keyboard and uses a more traditional netbook-style form-factor; according to Dynamism, when it drops in the US it’ll be priced from $629.
With the sales success of the Viliv S5 and X70 MIDs, all eyes are on the Viliv S7 to see if the company can make 7-inch touchscreen convertible netbooks popular too. Yet to go up for preorder in the US or Europe, an S7 has dropped into the hands of UMPC Fever in Hong Kong; they’ve been sharing their first impressions.
