Elite: Dangerous coming to Xbox One and Oculus Rift this summer

One of the best things in gaming, is seeing a successful Kickstarter game hit the market. It's been a long wait, but Elite: Dangerous is finally hitting Xbox One this summer. Elite: Dangerous is part space adventure, part resource management, and part combat simulation (my favorite!). After a down to the wire Kickstarter campaign two years ago, Frontier Developments secured over £1.5 million from crowdsourcing. It's been two and a half years since then, but we're looking forward to enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Sony PS4 sells more than 20.2 million units

The latest battle of the console wars was Microsoft's Xbox One pitted against Sony's Playstation 4. The results are in from Sony, and it looks like they have come out of the battle ahead in the game. Today Sony reported that is has sold more than 20.2 million Playstation 4's. This makes it the "fastest and strongest growth" game system in Playstation's twenty-one year history, according to Sony. Microsoft has yet to report their sales figures for 2015. Even at the end of last year the Xbox One's sales were close, but they were still lagging behind Sony's Playstation 4.

The Evil Within DLC pack drops in March

Bethesda's horror game The Evil Within will be receiving its first DLC next month, and it is dubbed "The Assignment". Bethesda Softworks released the DLC's trailer on Wednesday, and during it we get a look at Juli Kidman, partner to Sebastian. Those who have played the game and found her mysteries to be enticing should be excited, then, because Bethesda and Tango have decided to give gamers exactly what they want: answers. Gamers will be playing as Kidman, and they'll need to be extra stealthy.

DekaVita 7 turns Vita TV into a portable console

If you have held a PS Vita in your hands and though it needed a bigger screen, you may be interested in the new DekaVita 7 that has debuted in Japan. The device comes from a company called Gametech and it doesn't actually use any PS Vita tech inside, it uses a Vita TV slid into a slot on the back for playing games on the go. It's not the most portable device on the market, but if you already own a Vita TV, it might be appealing.
