Vaja has become the next case manufacturer to add an iPhone nano category to its online listings, further fuelling the rumor that Apple are planning a compact version of the existing iPhone 3G. The option is listed, as with XSKN, alongside the two existing iPhone models, but currently links only to an email update registration page.
The case-lovers over at Gear Diary are weeping drool from their slack mouths like puppies in microwaves at the sight of Vaja’s latest line of moulded leather laptop cases. If I was more Freudian in my leanings then I might wonder whether they’re all transferring their desire to be clad in premium Argentinian hide onto their MacBooks, but I’m in a generous mood and will give them the benefit of the doubt. Either way, man alive these cases are attractive!
A scientist (who asked to remain nameless) called me up yesterday and told me that in the next few years cellphones are going to get so thin that they’ll actually evaporate when you try to pick them up. Apparently the manufacturers know there’s a problem, but design decisions are planned so far in advance that all they can do is promise to change things come 2012. Until then, I guess we’ll have to find some way to fatten up our handsets; Vaja has kindly got the ball rolling by adding some extra millimetres to Samsung’s Blackjack.
Vaja makes the highest quality products for your iPod, mp3 player, phone, and now including Microsoft’s Zune. You can now protect your Zune in style with Vaja’s leather case. There are a number of leather cases to choose from and the colors are quite attractive. The leather cases are fully customizable and made of Argentine leather which shouldn’t matter. The Zune is already a bit on the bulky side, but if you’re willing to spend the cash to purchase one it’s worth protecting. Vaja lets you pick from 1,000 custom colors in addition to other creations of your choice. On certain models (above) the side push-through buttons are protected by the case and the remaining buttons are available with convenience.
So you’ve impressed your friends, family and even yourself with your new Nokia E61. They marvel at its thumb keyboard, gasp at its bright, clear screen, coo with appreciative glee at the slick menus and operation.
And then you drop it on the floor and it gets a ruddy great scratch across it. All of a sudden, nobody invites you to parties anymore. Elderly women spit at you in the street.
Andrew Liszewski is a lucky E61 owner and also pretty damn careful about not letting his cellular pride and joy come to any harm. Having stored it in an old iPaq case at first, he has eventually given it the respect it deserves and invested in a Vaja leather case.
