SmartDevices’ $289 SmartQ T7 3G Android tablet gets video unboxing
We have to admit, we didn't expect SmartDevices' SmartQ T7 tablet to make it to a launch outside of China, so the news that the 7-inch slate has dropped at Carrypad's German HQ is quite surprising. They've wasted no time in unboxing the Android 2.1 tablet, and considering the $289 price tag ($249 if you don't mind missing out on 3G) they're impressed.

Hanvon B10 Win7 tablet goes on sale, gets video unboxing
Having attempted to show up Apple's iPad - hand in hand with Windows 7 - a few weeks back, the Hanvon Touchpad B10 tablet PC is now up for sale in Europe. German retailer Papyrus are listing the 10.1-inch Celeron ULV slate at €771.24 ($974) including tax, with shipments expected to kick off in six days time; however, NewGadgets have scored one early, and are treating us to the traditional hands-on unboxing and first impressions.

AT&T Samsung Captivate unboxing & first-impressions
AT&T’s Captivate is the first of Samsung’s Galaxy S series smartphones to reach the US, and our review unit has just dropped onto the test bench. Packing a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor and 16GB of onboard storage, AT&T’s latest Android device marks a reasonably significant style departure from the original European Galaxy S, though you still get Android 2.1 and TouchWiz 3.0. The Samsung Galaxy S isn’t the only Android 2.1 smartphone to arrive here today; we’ve just taken delivery of the HTC Wildfire, the company’s new entry-level smartphone and quite the mini-Desire and promptly shot an unboxing video and shared some hands-on first impressions over at Android Community. Packing a compact 3.2-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3G/UMTS, HTC Sense and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, the Wildfire walks the tightrope between budget and functionality, and it seems to do a whole lot better than the Tattoo it replaces.

Samsung Galaxy S gets video unboxing
Back when we reviewed the Samsung Wave, while we loved its Super AMOLED display and swift 1GHz Hummingbird processor, we also felt the Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.1 would be a better bet for most consumers than the new bada OS. Happily that’s something we can test out now, since there’s a Samsung Galaxy S fresh to the test bench at Android Community today.

HTC Aria for AT&T gets unboxed: non-Market Android apps blocked
AT&T's latest Android smartphone, the HTC Aria, has dropped in over at Android Community, and they've been sharing some first impressions and a hands-on photo gallery. A compact 3.2-inch HVGA smartphone running Android 2.1 with HTC's Sense UI, the Aria has the same distinctive style of the HTC HD mini and apparently runs fairly decently on its 600MHz processor.

O2 Dell Streak unboxing
Dell have just sent over their Streak Android MID, fresh to the O2 network today, and we’ve been getting to grips with it the 5-inch Snapdragon-based slate. The company are insistent that this is a tablet, not a smartphone, but of course it really sits somewhere in-between. Either way, it’s fast, slick, and – as you quickly figure in the first few minutes of picking it up – great for web browsing.
HTC EVO 4G first-impressions [unboxing video]
The HTC EVO 4G has landed, and considering it’s one of the most eagerly anticipated Android smartphones of the year, it has a lot to live up to. Packing a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, like its HTC HD2 cousin, together with Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, both 3G EVDO Rev.A and WiMAX, and 720p HD video recording with an HDMI port, even the spec sheet is enough to prompt uncontrollable drooling.
