Earlier today, we reported that some lucky folks out there were seeing that their HP Slate 500 tablet were shipping, and that they should be expecting to see it arrive on their doorstep in the near future. Welcome to the official SlashGear NOOKcolor Unboxing and Hands-on. I received this lovely treat in the mail at about 9AM through FedEx – joyous day! You know the NOOKcolor from its first official coming out ceremony back on October 26th (2010). This is Barnes and Noble’s first fully color Nook: it’s a 7-inch portable tablet aimed directly at those wishing to have a full reading experience. It costs right around $250 and is host to over 2 million titles (books, enhanced books, newspapers, magazines, and children’s books.) Inside you’ll see the slick box it comes in plus the accessories and feel of the device itself.
Bose Bluetooth Headset unboxing & hands-on
When we first spotted the Bose Bluetooth Headset last month, we said it would have to do a lot in order to live up to both the $150 price tag and the PR hyperbole. It seems Bose took that as a challenge, since as of today the headset is fresh to the SlashGear test bench. Check out our first-impressions after the cut.

Blasts of PR goodness and demos and reviews done by people around the web like our November 4th post seem to be paying off quite handsomely for the people over at Jawbone. The JAMBOX by Jawbone is currently for sale and selling OUT in Apple Stores, at Apple.com and in select BestBuy stores today. This lovely speakerbox is selling for $199, sitting right next to the iPads in the Apple store so you can get the full blast firsthand.

Samsung Continuum Hands-On & Unboxing
Verizon’s latest Android smartphone, the Samsung Continuum, has landed on the SlashGear test bench, and though we’ve seen our fair share of cellphones in recent months, the Continuum’s dual-displays are still leaving us curious about usability. Another from Samsung’s growing range of Galaxy S family devices, the Continuum puts a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED primary screen on top and then a smaller, 1.8-inch “Ticker” display control bar and info panel underneath. DROID PRO Hands-on and unboxing video
Verizon’s DROID PRO by Motorola has turned a few heads among the usually loyal BlackBerry crowd, what with its blend of fashionable Android OS and combo touchscreen-and-QWERTY candybar form-factor. It’s a departure among Android handsets, and a welcome one at that; Verizon’s launch back at CTIA whet our appetites, and now the DROID PRO has landed on the SlashGear test bench. HTC Desire Z unboxing & video demo
The second of HTC’s new flagship Android smartphones has arrived, and just as we put the HTC Desire HD review to bed, the HTC Desire Z has arrived on the test bench. Unlike the HD, the Desire Z makes do with a more mainstream 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, but counters any screen shortfall with a flip-out QWERTY keyboard. Hooray for mail! Today what’s arrived is the very shiny clamshell BlackBerry Style 9670, available in steel grey or royal purple. Of course, since I’m in Minneapolis, home of The Purple One himself, Prince, you know that the royal purple is the one that arrived on my doorstep. Samsung Galaxy Tab Uncrating [Video]
It seems like it’s been a long time since Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Tab back at IFA 2010 in early September. Since then we’ve seen gradual European availability of the Android slate, in the run-up to a UK launch on November 1 and broad US sales on all four major carriers in the middle of next month. Today, DHL dropped off a wooden crate on the SlashGear doorstep, with a shiny new European-spec Galaxy Tab inside; check out the unboxing uncrating after the cut, together with a video demo and some first impressions.

11.6″ MacBook Air 2010 unboxing
If our hands-on time with the new 2010 MacBook Air models told us anything, it’s that we had to have some for ourself; happily Apple obliged, and so we thought we’d share the unboxing experience with you. As ever, Apple’s packaging design is minimalist, slick and beautiful – just like the new 11.6- and 13.3-inch ultraportables themselves, in fact.
HTC’s Desire HD gets unboxed & video walkthrough
This week may be all about the run up to the European launch of Windows Phone 7, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an interesting slice of Android on its way to shelves as well. The HTC Desire HD has just dropped over at our sibling site Android Community, where no time has been wasted unboxing the 4.3-inch Froyo smartphone and playing with its new Sense enhancements.
Nikon D7000 gets early unboxing as Best Buy start selling [Video]
Nikon's D7000 DSLR isn't expected to go on sale for a few days yet, but it seems Best Buy can't quite help themselves; the lure of taking money from customers' wallets when there's perfectly good stock sitting around in warehouses is too great, and so we've got the first two unboxing videos from lucky D7000 owners Geoff and PanicInJune. The 16.2-megapixel camera isn't exactly brimming with surprise inside the box, but it's always nice to get a sneak preview.
