Dell has introduced two new Ultra HD monitors, the UltraSharp 24 and the UltraSharp 32, both of which are available now, as well as the Dell 28 Ultra HD Monitor, which will be arriving early next year. With these monitors comes 4K resolution and ultra-wide viewing angles, as well as pricing that makes the beyond-HD offerings budget-friendly for mainstream consumers.

micro-DisplayPort for 4K+ thinner phones and laptops in works for 2014

Laptops could be getting smaller and smartphones gaining easier external display connectivity with the news of a new, more compact micro-DisplayPort connection in the works. LG has introduced two new Ultra HD televisions for the U.S. market, the LA9650 55-inch and 65-inch TVs. The announcement is in conjunction with the 2013 Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association Expo, CEDIA, and follows shortly after the company unveiled its new pair of 29-inch UltraWide monitors. 4K video transfer over WiGig to be demonstrated at Intel Developer Forum

For the time being, consumers have gotten a look at WiGig technology through select vendors, with the technology having begun to pick up speed in recent times as more devices are offered with it.
