TriGem have updated their Averatec D1100-series 18.4-inch desktop all-in-one, by dropping in AMD’s 1.5GHz Athlon X2 3250e low-voltage processor.  Sitting alongside the existing Intel Atom N270 machines in the D1100-series, the AMD-based Averatec D1133AH1E-1 has 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard-drive.

TriGem have announced another new model in their Averatec line of home computers, in the shape of the N3400 ultraportable.  While it may resemble a netbook, in fact the aluminum-clad notebook packs a dual-core Pentium T3400 2.16GHz processor, 3GB of RAM (8GB supported) and a 250GB hard-drive, together with a 13.3-inch display.

Averatec have announced a new all-in-one PC, the D1005, which couples a 22-inch widescreen LCD with an Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 2.5GHz processor and 3GB of RAM.  The Averatec D1005 is a step up from the company’s usual nettop-style desktops, with a 320GB hard-drive and a slot-loading DVD burner.

TriGem USA have announced a new 12.1-inch notebook, the Averatec N2700, which the company is calling a “back-to-the-basics” machine due to the absence of any preloaded “bloatware”.  Aside from a hassle-free initial startup, the N2700 offers an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2.0GHz processor, 4GB of DDR2 memory and an 250GB hard-drive.

We described the Lluon Mobbit MID, back in December, as a bargain: a roughly $400 price-tag for a 4.8-inch touchscreen, 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM, a choice of 30GB HDD or 16GB SSD and WiFi, Bluetooth and WiBro.  Something seems to have gone wrong in the weeks since then, however; TG Sambo have finally announced pre-order pricing in Korea, and for the basic model (which lacks WiBro) they’re now asking 799,000 won ($575).

nokia n971Nokia stole much of the limelight this week, with the announcement of the N97 touchscreen QWERTY smartphone.  Set to take the crown as flagship N-series device when it hits the market next year, make sure to check out our video preview.  Meanwhile, after a few relatively quiet weeks, netbooks and their desk-bound nettop cousins seized headlines, with the HP Mini 1000 getting integrated 3G, Sony’s EVDO/HSPA-packing VAIO netbook peeking out courtesy of the FCC, and the first Qualcomm Snapdragon netbook showing its convertible tablet charms.

Trigem (TG), Averatec’s parent company, have taken the wraps off of their latest MID, the 4.8-inch touchscreen Lluon Mobbit.  Unlike most Mobile Internet Devices we’ve seen, the Mobbit uses Windows XP rather than Linux; Trigem have given it a finger-friendly GUI overlay.  Specs include the 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM, a choice of 30GB HDD or 16GB SSD and WiFi, Bluetooth and WiBro.
