ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T release set for October 21st with NVIDIA Tegra 4

The next generation in ASUS-made Android tablet technology has been revealed with release information this week in the ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T, complete with a release timeframe inside October. This machine works with a Full HD+ display at 2560 x 1600 across 10.1-inches of IPS LCD powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor under the hood. This machine also works with USB 3.0 for the newest in speed and efficiency in data transfer and charging.

This afternoon the folks at the IDC released quarterly worldwide shipment numbers for tablets, suggesting as they did so that a slump in the market this quarter may be due to Apple's lack of a new iPad. And we got to thinking: it's easy to relate the growth of the tablet industry over the past several years to the iPad - but what can we see if we pinpoint the releases of individual tablets from each of the other top two tablet-making companies to their quarters? Is it the iPad that's driving this growth, or the release of excellent tablet packages by non-Apple companies?

ASUS renames tablet line to “Transformer Pad” — Announces LTE models

Here at Mobile World Congress the ASUS event was a big one. With tons of new announcements, exciting Tegra 3 tablets not to mention the Padfone and more. Two big changes came from the event. That being the new naming scheme as all tablets will be called "Transformer Pad" and that they'll be releasing a variety of 3G/4G LTE equipped tablets coming as soon as late April.
