Star Wars The Force Awakens teaser trailer 3: Rey, Finn, blue lightsaber included

Finn ignites his blue lightsaber for the first time in the new teaser trailer (mini clip) from Lucasfilm. While we've seen this bit - sort of - in the first poster for the film revealed earlier this month, this is the first time we're to understand that the character played by John Boyega appears to be on the same planet as Kylo Ren, one of this film's primary villains. That's not all - there's a super tiny clip of Rey as well!

LawBreakers trailer destroys Earth’s moon, fudges science a bit

LawBreakers trailer destroys Earth’s moon, fudges science a bit

In the first trailer for the Boss Key production LawBreakers, this game suggests what might happen were our moon to suddenly explode. They suggest that this explosion was caused by humans - that'd be a feat in and of itself: this massive rock is 3,475 km in diameter and not an easy nut to crack. The moon would require the equivalent of 30 trillion megatons of TNT to destroy - 600 billion nuclear warheads or more. Luckily, "clandestine government testing on the lunar surface" has this covered.

This Madden NFL 16 ad has dancing, dinosaurs, and “Al Pacino”

Today you're going to witness an awe-inspiring video spot for the next Madden football video game. This video bounces off the last super-absurd ad spot for the game, bringing in a couple of headband-wearing muscle masters to answer the call of a madman, who's kidnapped our hero's girlfriend. They've got to train, and train hard. They've got to get so good at the game that they can't lose. It's kind of like Athene the world's greatest paladin, but not quite as dramatic.

Quantum Break trailer Gamescom 2015 sets Remedy up for a win

Today's first big trailer for Quantum Break suggests that you'll be given the opportunity to be Quicksilver. Or The Flash. Basically you're moving faster than everyone else in the game, so it appears that they're moving slow. Only you're not just working with that bit of oddity, you've got even stranger weapons at your disposal. Imagine an orb of time warp tossed like a grenade. Imagine a game that takes the aesthetics of time travel seriously, made by Remedy Entertainment, developers that very much appear to have dedicated a significant amount of time to making this one vital element a reality.

Star Wars Battlefront’s “Fighter Squadron” gameplay trailer shows potential

Today EA Games, DICE, and Frostbite reveal "Fighter Squadron" gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront. In this reveal, you'll see a whole lot of potential. We're obviously not going to be able to judge this game without actually playing it first, but it does seem - from this footage alone - that there might be a chance that this game has a good rebirth session in store for fans of the original Star Wars fighter pilot franchises: X-Wing and TIE Fighter. The pixels look a little better here than they did back in 1997.

Original LEGO calculation busted by math professor

Original LEGO calculation busted by math professor

This Friday a documentary will be released by the name of "A LEGO Brickumentary," and in it, a math professor will tell you how many different LEGO creations you can make. Of course the real number isn't entirely feasible to calculate. Back in 1958, LEGO estimated and suggested through a patent (as created by the original LEGO creator's son, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen) that six standard LEGO bricks could potentially be stacked in around 103-million ways. According to math professor Soren Eilers, whoever suggested 103-million was about 900-million off the mark. Behold this tiny brick clip.
