It's time for Samsung to get a taste of the $399.99 tablet pricetag, especially now that the Apple iPad 2 is selling for that same price and still being produced to replenish stock on the regular. What with the tablet wars still very much going in Apple's favor, Samsung's strategy to create an Android slate in every conceivable shape and size seems to be sticking. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE Review
The size range of Android-based devices Samsung has made over the past year is far and away the largest any manufacturer has yet achieved, and if you’re unable to find the screen size you desire at the moment, you likely have only to wait another week or month and poof! It will appear. That said, it appears that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has appeared here in the USA in an LTE edition made specifically for Verizon, and having taken a glance at every single other display size in the lineup I can comfortably say the following: this is one of the best.
Galaxy S II Android 4.0 ICS official early update leaked, TouchWiz intact
What you're about to see is a video of a person using the international edition of the Samsung Galaxy S II with what SamMobile blog says is the first build of Ice Cream Sandwich made for the device by Samsung - what you'll notice here is not just that the device has the newest version of Android on it, but that Samsung's own custom user interface has been fully integrated. When we first saw the TouchWiz that's closest to what you're about to see, it was way back at the start of 2011 at Mobile World Congress (and the famous CTIA Philip Berne event) with the launch of the original Galaxy S II (aka the one you see here), then again in a slightly updated version here in the USA. What this represents is Samsung's continued reliance on said user interface to differentiate their products from the competition.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 AT&T LTE Hands-on and Unboxing
This week we get our first glimpse of what it means to hold the next addition to the Galaxy Tab family in our hands, the slightly larger than mid-sized Galaxy Tab 8.9 for AT&T’s LTE network. What we’ll be doing in the post you’re looking at here is giving it a relatively brief hands-on look as well as a few photos of how it looks in and out of the box. What you’ll find is that this certainly has little in the way of differences from the rest of the Galaxy Tab line (starting with the 10.1, that is), save for its size which may indeed be the perfect one if you’re a Goldilocks sort of person. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 not nearly as obtuse as the original Galaxy Tab, it’s not as large as the 10.1, and it’s got just a slight bit more screen space than the 7.7. Samsung appears to be covering all the bases: is this home plate?
Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 Review
With the absolute barrage of Samsung Android devices having been released this summer, fall, and on into the winter, you’d think that they’d just skip sending out the Galaxy Player 5.0 altogether – it being a device essentially released internationally several months ago. Instead they’re releasing it relatively silently in a way that wont defeat the iPod as many have said it would be aiming to do, but will fill the void where Samsung simply hasn’t had a wi-fi only handheld media player before. Will it sell for what it is, or will it fall at the hands of its own much more impressive smartphone lineup?
Samsung Galaxy S II USA Launch Upgrades Rundown [Video]
We have Samsung’s Vice President of Consumer & Enterprise Services Gavin Kim to thank for the full rundown of the Samsung Galaxy S II’s full new features rundown, all of it presented by him on his very own Galaxy S II device through its MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) port made capable of sending out a mirrored-display through a normal, everyday HDMI cable. You may remember the same functionality from the Infuse 4G, a device which was in many ways the herald of the Samsung Galaxy S II as it’s officially announced today. What Kim has for us on stage in NYC at the GSII big reveal event is a look at everything you should expect from the three announced devices today as they compare to the original GSII released a few months ago internationally.
Samsung Galaxy S II for AT&T Hands-On [Video]
The second of three declared versions of the internationally popular Samsung dual-core Android device, the Galaxy S II from AT&T, is set to be the only one of three to have the original 4.3-inch display. Now why, you might ask, would they do such a thing? I think the answer may be staring you right in the face with its own fantastically cute face: that’s my daughter under the puzzle piece lockscreen of the AT&T Infuse 4G, a device not unlike the Galaxy S II that came out quite a few weeks ago with the same 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display you’re now seeing on the WiMAX and T-Mobile versions of the Galaxy S II. What AT&T has done here is to give you a choice of devices, both of them with Super AMOLED Plus displays, but one with a larger display and a smaller processor, the other with a smaller display and a larger processor. Choices!
Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile Hands-Off [Video]
The most mysterious of the three Samsung Galaxy S II models we’ve seen today is the T-Mobile version. The reason for this is the fact that because this version of the handset is set to be the last released here in the states (that we know of so far), it’s not quite ready for a full showing. Therefor what we know about this device is essentially just the bare minimum: Exynos 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, extra rounded edges, and a unique T-Mobile experience alongside Samsung’s newest vision for TouchWiz. I’m sure we’ll be just thrilled as pie once we get to see it in action, but for now we’ve got to stay behind a plastic box.
Tablet Computer Spotted in 1968 Kubrick Classic, Cited in Samsung Case
It appears that the very first place one might see a tablet computer in action, at least one looking so minimalistic as an iPad, is in the 1968 film “2001: A Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick. This movie features at least one scene in which a couple of tablets are used to compute while breakfast is being consumed by their users. What this particular scene is being used for at this very moment is so-called evidence that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet design does not use the iPad 2 for inspiration, that instead a single screen with little border surrounding it used for computing has been a common design for a “tablet” computer for quite some time.
Samsung TouchWiz UX Review with Galaxy Tab 10.1
Welcome to our look at Samsung’s newest work with Android, this being made specifically for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and called Samsung TouchWiz UX. What TouchWiz amounts to is a custom user interface that sits on top of and beside Android 3.1 Honeycomb, working to improve the way you work with Android and your tablet in general as well as opening your pathway to Samsung’s new movie collection interface and ability to work with Mini Apps on top of your everyday full-screen apps and home screens. The big question many users are having at the moment is: “should I update?” and we aim to answer that question here.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 TouchWiz update due OTA on August 5
Samsung has detailed the update process for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi-only slate, which as of Friday August 5 will bring the TouchWiz UI, Flash Player 10.3 and Samsung's latest Media Hub to the Honeycomb tablet. TouchWiz consists of multiple Live Panels with widgets laid out like magazines, offering easy access to news, weather, social networking and multimedia. There's also a new "Mini Mode Tray" with easy shortcuts for the Task Manager, Calendar, World Clock, Pen Memo, Calculator and Music apps.
