Panasonic LUMIX GF3 official: 12.1MP Micro-4/3 gets even smaller

Panasonic‘s new LUMIX DMC-GF3 comes as little surprise, but it does bring plenty to the micro four thirds table. The third-gen camera tips the scales at a mere 7.83oz despite packing a pop-up flash, and shoots 12.1-megapixel images along with 1080/60i Full HD video. It’s also 16.7-percent smaller and 16.2-percent lighter than our perennial favorite, the LUMIX GF2, despite keeping the 3-inch touchscreen.

Nokia X7 and E6 now shipping with Symbian Anna

Nokia's first two Symbian "Anna" handsets, running the updated version of the Symbian OS, are now shipping. The Nokia E6 and Nokia X7, announced in April, will each get the new, faster browser, a native portrait-orientation QWERTY keyboard, and a boosted version of Ovi Maps with public transport routes among other tweaks. HTC's rumored 10-inch Puccini tablet will apparently begin volume production in June 2011, according to the latest rumors, fitting in with suggestions that the originally expected launch date in the first half of this year has likely slipped to July or later. DigiTimes' sources claim the HTC Puccini will have a touchscreen that responds to both resistive and capacitive touch, along with a "touch pen" that can "work on specified software and areas." Barnes & Noble has outed its latest ereader, an all-new B&N NOOK, complete with a touch-enabled display and a 6-inch E Ink Pearl e-paper screen. The new NOOK weighs in at a mere 7.5oz - the third-gen Kindle is 8.5oz in comparison - and the new display apparently has 80-percent less flashing as it refreshes than the dual-display original NOOK.
