It almost seems that amongst the other announcements today, Vincent had his own personal agenda to get his hands on as many Android OS based handsets as possible. He didn’t do too bad either by hitting up Qualcomm, TI, and ARM, all of which had booths with their prototypes.
Since the announcement of Nuvifone by Garmin, Vince and I have been very interested in seeing the device personally. While I was unable to go to Barcelona this year, Vince is taking one for the team and managed to have one on one time with the Nuvifone.
They are kind of being billed as digital organizers, which sounds like code for “just short of a smartphone” but they are pretty nice phones, and if they have a reasonable price their features and cheap price should make them appeal to the public. In what appears to be the biggest joke of the day, there is a video online of what is supposedly called the HTC Magnum. It has a gentleman showing off a huge display that seemingly has touch-screen capability and the TouchFLO UI of several of HTC’s latest devices.

Shortly after the news of the new silver edition of the LG Prada phone they are performing the same color change on the Viewty. The Viewty has sold over 550k units since its inception and that is apparently the reason they are launching a new color.

This smartphone has the Pro version of the latest Windows Mobile OS, it also has a 2.4 inch touchscreen to view/navigate it on. Add to that the GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth and you have a pretty decent smartphone.
