Welcome to Wednesday evening everyone! Today brought us HTC's highly-anticipated event, and it did not disappoint. It was there that HTC revealed two brand new Windows Phone 8 devices, the Windows Phone 8X and the Windows Phone 8S. Went went hands-on with both devices not long after they were announced, and shortly before HTC announced that these new phones will be landing at Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile in November. HTC released a video detailing the "design journey" of the 8X and 8S, and Nokia had some choice words about HTC's "innovation" later on in the day. Read The Full Story

Tobii and NTT DOCOMO announce ibeam eye-tracking tablet

Tablets these days can do a lot of different things, but NTT DOCOMO has a new tablet in the pipeline with a feature that we don't see all that often: eye tracking. The eye tracking technology in NTT DOCOMO's new ibeam concept tablet will be supplied by Tobii, and if you're going to be at CEATEC in Tokyo at the beginning of October, you'll get the chance to see it in action. Intel invests $21m in eye-tracker Tobii

If you recall, Tobii has included its eye tracking technology in a number of gadgets in the past. Last year at CeBIT they demoed the tech in a laptop, allowing users to scroll and select items using just their eyes. They were back at CeBIT again this year, showcasing the tech that could potentially find its way into gaming machines. They certainly seemed to have impressed Intel, who are investing $21 million in the company. Read The Full Story

Tobii IS-2 Eye Tracker aims at broader use

We have talked about the eye tracking technology developed by Tobii in the past. Previously, the company has shown off technology that can add tracking to your monitor and an arcade game that used its eye tracking technology. The tech was even crammed inside a notebook at CeBIT 2011. At CeBIT 2012, the company showed off a new improved version of its eye tracking technology called IS-2 Eye Tracker Module. Tobii Gaze adds eye-navigation to Windows 8 Metro UI

Eye-tracking specialist Tobii has announced its new system for Windows 8, the Tobii Gaze interface for Microsoft's upcoming OS, intended to allow users to navigate their PCs, notebooks and tablets by looking at them. Tobii Gaze combines eye-tracking and the touchpad for Metro UI control, allowing you to track around the interface with your eyes while doing fine-control and activating other commands using the trackpad. Tobii EyeAsteroids arcade game has no joystick, uses eye control

If you were an old school gamer, I would wager that back in the day you spent many a quarter playing Asteroids at the arcade. A company we have talked about in the past called Tobii has a new game that reminds me of the classic Asteroids game that is called Tobii EyeAsteroids. Tobii has in the past offered up a laptop that can be controlled by the eyes only. It has also shown off a computer accessory called PCEye that adds eye tracking to your monitor. Read The Full Story

Tobii PCEye adds eye-tracking to your existing monitor

Tobii grabbed headlines back in March with their eye-controlled laptop, using a sensor bar under the display to track eye movement and map it to the mouse cursor. Tobii outs world’s first eye-controlled laptop

Tobii will be showing off the world's first laptop that can be controlled by the user's eyes. The notebook will be seen for the first time in Hanover at CeBIT that kicked off today.
