Minecraft Creator Markus “Notch” Persson ranks #2 in TIME 100 poll

Markus "Notch" Persson, the creator of Minecraft, has claimed the #2 position in Time Magazine's "2013 Time 100 Poll". The ranking is based on how influential a person is, making Notch the 2nd most influential person in the world. He garnered 156,694 votes from Time Magazine voters, falling short about 16.5 thousand votes below Mohamed Morsi, the president of Egypt. Notch did, however, manage to beat out Kim Dotcom for 2nd place by nearly 40,000 votes.

iPad users will now have more access to traditional magazines than ever before. Today, Time Inc. announced plans to bring its entire publishing portfolio of 21 magazines to the iPad before the end of 2011. Time Warner Cable announced today that they are still on track for bringing mobile WiMAX to the masses very soon.

The CEO of the company, Glenn Britt, noted that more details would be released in the near future, but the fall was shaping up to be the time for release for this mobile network.

The first cities lined up to receive mobile WiMAX will be Dallas and Charlotte. This new move is intended to appeal to current customers that are moving away from VoIP services and toward wireless-only lifestyles.
