Double Slash! Today is the first day we've ever run a post by the name of "SlashGear Morning Wrap-Up" for those of you who just can't wait until nighttime to get your daily dosage of technological gear news in list form. Then, it was a day just bursting at the seams with information about one phone: Nexus S. This Nexus S, also known by its codename Samsung GT-i9020, was today first accidentally(?) outed by Best Buy in a momentary broken online ad, then there were photo leaks and secret updates leading to a possible name confirmation, then another Best Buy leak leading to the date November 14 for store displays! Coincidence? Just about as much coincidence as a My Little Pony turned soldering iron.

What a frajabulous day of revealing leaks, first looks, and yes, HAX. There were not one, but TWO sightings of Droid 2 functionalities in the wild. The myTouch 4G was blessed with a Permaroot, and that brand new Android-to-iPhone port was granted a no-computer install and activation. Then to rather peek-a-boo moments: a Sharp ISO1 Unboxing and a Hustler app for Android. Apple tops the holiday want-lists (is anyone surprised?), the SlashGear Pad and Quill iPad case giveaway winner is revealed, and Nintendo wants to own "It's On Like Donkey Kong!" All this and some lovely FEATURES coming your way today, on The Daily Slash!

Let me talk to you for a moment about a couple of the odder things that happened today, and this is outside the story you're going to hear about in the special "The Daily Slash" section you all know and love. First, there's a lot of ports, ROMS, and hacks flying around the smartphone world on a day-to-day, but today there was a rather important one surfacing: Android to iPhone. Like two rival gangs having a child together. No violence between them yet, but someone DID get shot today - a Galaxy Tab. In response, Angry Birds released 45 new levels, and someone records a UFO on an HTC EVO 4G. TRON throws a card into the hat with their 3rd giant trailer, iPhone's GLASSGATE ramps up, and all Apple handhelds grow a little tail. All this and more, today, on THE DAILY SLASH!

A slew of tiny updates, a tiny combat on the idea that children can change your life enough to quit Facebook, and a slightly larger combat on some combative video games. This is a day in the life of a tech publicist, take a lookie for yourself - here on the Daily Slash.
