SayType may or may not effectively translate speech to text on your phone

hands free 001We have all run into the text while you drive drivers on the freeway that just don’t seem to see where the lines are. I must admit that I have been that person a time or two, but some of these people might as well be watching TV or reading the newspaper while driving.

Luckily for us SayType aims to end this problem with their voice to text services. The service allows you to compose text messages or email without even touching your device.  Just sign up for this service, phone the company and you have 120 second to say what you need to say. But just how well does this service work?

Car key prevents teenagers from using mobile phones while driving

With all of the laws being passed regarding the use of cell phones in a motor vehicle, we are still swerving to miss the oblivious motorist next to us who simply cannot stop flapping his lips. Many parents are also worried that their inexperienced teenage drivers may also be distracted by their mobile phones.

Lenovo notebooks can be locked down by text message

Well this is interesting. Apparently if your Lenovo notebook is stolen, you will soon be able to send a text message to lock it down and deem it unusable, keeping your content safe. Though it’s not exactly a clear cut solution.
