Acer Iconia Tab A700 Review

This week we’ve gotten the opportunity to take an up close and personal peek at the Acer Iconia Tab A700, an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet with a high definition display and the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood. This Acer device looks and feels rather similar to its predecessor, the Iconia Tab A500, but its components set it in a class all its own. This tablet has a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels across it, this making it a 224ppi dense display-toting beast of a machine.

NVIDIA VCM revealed for Tesla Model S

This week as the Tesla Model S electric car heads to its first real road release, it's been revealed that none other than NVIDIA's brand new VCM will be powering the car's dashboard. This dashboard is a set of intelligent screens, each of them running with an NVIDIA Tegra Visual Computing Module (VCM) behind the scenes. This Tegra processor will be bringing the graphics fury to both the 12.3-inch LCD and the 17-inch LCD that make up the car's control panel and information displays. Read The Full Story

Microsoft Surface Windows RT confirmed with NVIDIA’s Tegra processor

While Microsoft announced two new Surface PC tablets today at their event in LA, one thing they didn't make clear was the processor under the hood powering one of their new slates. The Windows 8 Pro model will be significantly thicker and run an Intel Ivy Bridge 22nm processor but the thin 9.3mm device we got hands-on with will be powered by an ARM chipset. This week the folks at NVIDIA have teamed up with BRIDEA and NCsoft to bring a twisted first person shooter by the name of Renaissance Blood THD for Android devices working with Tegra 3 quad-core processors. This game sets you up with a crossbow, a spiked mace, and what’s essentially a steampunk machine gun. You’ve got infinite arrows, a limited amount of bullets, a strong arm, and hall after hall of gladiators, mummies, machine/man hybrid beasts that want nothing more than to cut you down and devour your flesh.

In an investor call this week with NVIDIA we're finding that there are more than a few surprises to be found in the mobile world - Android, gaming, Icera for LTE, and Tegra 3 included. NVIDIA Grey announced with Tegra 3 and Icera i500 chips combining in the next year to create devices that not only work with great processing speed, but amazing data speed as well with 4G LTE.
