NVIDIA Project SHIELD unleashes Riptide GP 2 in sweetest demo yet
It’s time again for some rip-roaring action with NVIDIA’s Project SHIELD and the sequel to one of the most awesomely entertaining games on the Android gaming platform: Riptide GP 2! This game takes on what the original blasted forth with awesomely futuristic jet-ski racing made excellent by NVIDIA’s team-up with the developers at Vector Unit for Tegra optimization. In this demo you’ll also be seeing the Project SHIELD implementation of NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processing power with visual splendor popping up on a whopping 72 GPU cores.
NVIDIA’s Project SHIELD demos Burn Zombie Burn
NVIDIA gives us a sneak peak at one of their "5 games optimized for the Tegra 4" by demoing it on their portable gaming device, Project SHIELD. The game, titled Burn Zombie Burn, is a title that originated from the PlayStation 3 and is now finding its way onto mobile devices. The game developer, Tick Tock Games, wanted to delve into the mobile gaming industry, and the NVIDIA Tegra 4 allows them to do that without needing to sacrifice quality. In fact, the NVIDIA Tegra 4 helps them add quality to their thrilling, zombie apocalypse game.

NVIDIA Tegra 4 benchmarking and hands-on with Phoenix
This week we’ve had the opportunity to take a peek at the NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor inside both a couple of tablets and the Phoenix Developer Platform smartphone (in the form of the Tegra 4i). While we’ve only been able to see benchmarks in a mocked-up version of a tablet, the numbers are impressive, to say the least. We’ve also had a peek at the insides of an NVIDIA Tegra 4 and Tegra 4i chip setup, with an up-close look at how the SoCs look inside your phone or tablet of the future.
Zombie Driver getting an HD makeover for Project SHIELD
The folks at NVIDIA are teasing their latest Project SHIELD game title, Zombie Driver. That name may sound familiar for those rocking an Android device as Zombie Driver THD has been available for NVIDIA powered tablets and smartphones. Coincidentally, the THD release is currently selling at a deep discount -- 75 percent off, or $1.75. Not to stray far off the track, but the Zombie Drive THD game had an update back in December that added improved controller support for devices such as the PowerA Moga.

ZTE and NVIDIA announce world’s first Tegra 4 Super Phone
The world is about to get its first Super Phone working with NVIDIA‘s new Tegra 4 quad-core processor, and the manufacturer of this masterpiece has been announced as ZTE. This will be the first time the Tegra 4 will be available on a smartphone in the world according to ZTE and NVIDIA, with a release time set for somewhere before the half-way point through 2013. This announcement does not include a name for the device, nor many specifications or a price, but it does let loose that one important bit – first ever!
NVIDIA Phoenix Reference Phone detailed as Tegra 4i delivery vehicle
This week the folks at NVIDIA have revealed not just the Tegra 4i mobile processor, but the Phoenix Reference Phone that’ll carry it. With Phoenix, NVIDIA will once again be delivering their own bit of user-ready hardware top to bottom, but unlike Project SHIELD, this device is meant to be used by prospective hardware manufacturers and developers wishing to optimize their games for the processing environment. That said, this device brings on some of the most fabulous high-end specifications yet available to the market – starting with a 5-inch 1080p display.
NVIDIA Tegra 4i detailed: quad-core with wide market appeal
With NVIDIA‘s reveal of the Tegra 4 System-on-Chip we saw the next generation of processing power with the ability to work with a separate piece of architecture for 4G LTE connectivity – with the Tegra 4i, NVIDIA integrates it all onto one single-chip solution. What you’ll see here is a smaller footprint made for smartphones on the mass market with a whole lot of next-generation power, but on such a level as you’ll find on the Tegra 4. Tegra 4i is NVIDIA’s way of pushing the latest and greatest in Tegra processing power to smartphones in a big way.
NVIDIA shows off Dead Arrival 2 on Project SHIELD
NVIDIA has released another Android Thursday video, this one showcasing Dead Arrival 2, a zombie survival game that arms you with a variety of drop-em-dead weapons and lets you loose in a world full of the undead. NVIDIA year-end earnings break company record
This week the folks at NVIDIA have revealed their financial results for both the end of the year (2012) and their fourth quarter fiscal 2013, coming in at 7.1% greater revenue this fiscal year than the last. According the NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, "this year we did the best work in our company's history" - all $4.28 billion of it (in GAAP annual revenue, that is). And with announcements of such innovations for the company as 4G LTE in their Tegra 4 processors coming up and out this year on products such as Project SHIELD, a hand-held Android/streaming gaming monster, the company has nowhere to go but up.

Today the folks at NVIDIA are once again showing off the PC-streaming prowess of their Project SHIELD device with none other than the game Need For Speed: Most Wanted. It's not often that a game with this much heavy-duty need for graphics backup is seen on a device smaller than a desktop computer - but here it is, in full-on instant-gratification streaming action from the comfort of your couch. Project SHIELD is a device that will soon be delivered by NVIDIA to a retail store near you - at the moment it's still in production.

NVIDIA Project SHIELD demos Borderlands 2 in live PC gaming stream
This week the folks at NVIDIA have unleashed a new demo video depicting their Project SHIELD mobile gaming device playing none other than Borderlands 2. The reason this is a monstrous feat, for those of you that don’t know, is the fact that this game is a high-powered PC game that otherwise only exists on the most fabulous of gaming PC builds. This game is shown here streaming on a home-based wireless network from a Falcon Tiki PC working with a GeForce GTX 680 graphics card – it’s a top-level PC gaming experience streamed to a mobile device in the palms of your hands!
