Last week we heard word that an improved version of the HTC One X was heading to T-Mobile USA, returning to the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chip and pairing it with Jelly Bean. Now word comes from Stuff.tv that HTC is planning something similar with the international version of the device, with the updated model codenamed “Endeavour C2.” The HTC One X originally carried the Endeavour codename, with details of this new device suggesting it will be a small refresh of the popular handset.

HTC Endeavour C2 points to potential One X refresh
Sony Xperia Tablet revealed
Sony’s next Android slate, the Sony Xperia Tablet, has been spotted in a set of leaked presentation slides, a slimline and splashproof Tegra 3 model with a 9.4-inch 1280 x 800 display. The Xperia Tablet SGPT1211 keeps the folded-paper profile of its Tablet S predecessor but trims it down to 11.85mm at its thickest according to mobiFlip‘s premature documentation; overall, it’s 42-percent thinner, Sony claims, and made of aluminum rather than plastic.
Wikipad 10-inch Jelly Bean tablet shows gaming promise
It's time for a brand new tablet to show its massive face with the company that shares its name: Wikipad. This device was shown briefly earlier this year in a 7-inch iteration that didn't look especially unique without its utterly strange add-on controller - now it's being re-revealed with a 10-inch display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

NVIDIA Tegra adopts Miracast wireless standard for HD streaming
This week NVIDIA and their Tegra mobile chipset line have joined up with Miracast for their wireless standard for HD movies and photos. This standard will allow users to stream high definition content from their quad-core tablet or phone (with Tegra 3 processors, of course) to their HDTV without the aid of an HDMI cable or a wireless network. Miracast is a standard in wireless high definition content pushing over small distances, essentially, and NVIDIA is ready to bring the Tegra line into the light!

This amount of cash for a project such as this is fantastic on its own, but given the group’s $950,000 goal at the start of the project, it’s become a whole new animal since it started less than a month ago. With more than 5 times their original seed money request, it’s time for the developers and engineers behind the project to seriously reconsider their futures in their respective fields – things are looking up!
OUYA begins talks with NVIDIA and pledges more rewards for investors
This week the Android-based HDTV connected gaming device known as OUYA has blasted past its initial Kickstarter goal straight into the news media's eye for up-and-coming powerhouses in the mobile universe. Ouya aims to rekindle consoles with Android Kickstarter
Console startup Ouya has launched its much-anticipated Kickstarter round, promising free-to-play gaming on a minimalistic and open-source Android box hoping to steal players from phones and tablets. Billed as “a new kind of video game console” and targeting $950,000 through the crowdfunding site, Ouya uses Google’s Android OS with a custom controller designed, like the main unit itself, by Yves Behar, and has a target price of just $99.
NVIDIA reportedly bringing Kai strategy to phones
Before the Nexus 7 was official announced, NVIDIA hinted that low cost tablets featuring its quad-core Tegra processor were on the horizon thanks to its “Kai” strategy. That would pair the silicon with low-cost internals to drive down the price to an affordable $199. Could the same strategy be applied to smartphones? MyDrivers seems to think so, with the site saying NVIDIA is working with a Chinese OEM to bring a low-cost smartphone with Tegra 3 to the market.
