Though you may well have heard of a few other Ice Cream Sandwich tablets out there thus far, none of them have been licensed by Google to have the Android Market. This also means that not only will ASUS and NVIDIA be pushing this tablet as the best, Google's on board too. Read The Full Story

Acer Iconia Tab A700 continues Android ICS drive with NVIDIA Tegra 3

, Dec 30th 2011 Discuss [6]

There's a whole mess of tablets coming in 2012, and if what Acer is presenting already in leaked photos is any indication, their Iconia Tab A700 10-inch tablet is just one tip of the iceberg, with it's NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Ice Cream Sandwich putting it in the running for world's greatest aside the ASUS Transformer Prime. There's no way to gauge if this machine will stand up the tests its predecessors the A500, A501, and A100 were subject to, but by the looks of it, Acer's certainly stayed the course with design sensibilities on the outside. Look for this device to appear at CES 2012 aside its A200 brethren without a doubt. Read The Full Story

Qualcomm: Tegra 3 is a “single use product”

Qualcomm is pushing to make its Snapdragon mobile chipset brand more visible in the consumer marketplace, dismissing the threat of NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 as a “single use product” and even temporarily rebranding the Qualcomm Stadium as the “Snapdragon Stadium” from this weekend. Speaking at a pre-CES briefing today, Qualcomm’s Senior Vice President of Software Strategy Rob Chandhok suggested that, while Tegra 2 may have been found in many of the headline-grabbing tablets and phones over the past twelve months, “in the mobile space, I’m not sure that NVIDIA has any more brand awareness than we do.” The company is similarly unconcerned about the quadcore Tegra 3.
