Eric Schmidt revealed back in December that Google were working on a Nexus tablet, and that they would have it ready to go within six months. After that, rumors swirled that ASUS would be providing the tablet with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and that it would come in at just $199. Now, new information suggests that Google has ditched Tegra 3 support, and is aiming to price the tablet even lower.

HTC One X and One S release dates confirmed
Itching to get your hands on the new HTC One X, or the One S, in good ol’ Blighty? You won’t have to wait that much longer. They'll both be landing in just a couple of weeks, according to both O2 and Phones4u. O2 took to Twitter to confirm that HTC’s new flagship handset, the One X, will be landing on their network on April 5th, although no tariffs have been confirmed yet.

28nm production halt could delay Snapdragon S4 products
Qualcomm have so far avoided chasing cores, saying that Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core chip is “overkill”. Instead the company is hoping that the latest version of its Snapdragon chip, the S4 “Krait”, will provide enough performance with just two cores. While development platforms have gone out to various publications and developers for testing, the 28nm chip could be facing production delays, which would have a knock-on effect on phones like the HTC One X and One S.

LG Optimus 4X HD priced and dated
LG only revealed the Optimus 4X HD officially at Mobile World Congress this week, and already the quadcore Tegra 3 smartphone has been priced and dated for the UK. The handset will be priced at £380 ($602) pre-tax and subsidies, according to retailer Clove, and is expected to be in stock come June. However, there's bad news for lovers of glasses-free 3D, with word that the UK won't be getting LG's Optimus 3D Max.

Fujitsu prototype Tegra 3 Android smartphone Hands-on
Fujitsu had a prototype Tegra 3 Android smartphone safely hidden behind a glass wall at CES in Las Vegas, but here in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress we were able to get up close and personal with it. HTC has taken the wraps off of the HTC One X, its new smartphone flagship, packing a Tegra 3 quadcore+1 processor, 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 Super-LCD display, and an 8-megapixel camera. Measuring in at a pocket-dominating 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm, with a polycarbonate chassis and microdrilled speaker holes, the One X runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 on top, with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
LG Optimus 4X HD Hands-on
This week the folks at LG have revealed and we've gotten our hands on the next generation of LG Optimus device, the LG Optimus 4X. This smartphone takes the first-in-class Optimus 2X dual-core processor and amps it up with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core SoC with 4-PLUS-1 technology. This device is the first to the European market with a true IPS HD display, has a lovely 4.7-inch display, and runs with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box.
