The Nikon 1 Series J1 and V1 are the company's very first mirrorless interchangeable lens digital cameras similar to the Micro Four Thirds cameras that we've seen from Olympus and Panasonic. However, the Nikon offerings have a smaller sensor but are touted as being much faster at image processing. The cameras debuted last week and the more affordable J1 model is now available for pre-orders on Target.com.

How Target’s Mobile Ecosystem works and how it could Improve

How Target’s Mobile Ecosystem works and how it could Improve

Welcome to Minnesota, Earth - Target Brand department store originating right here in my midwest place of birth, aiming for and achieving a spread across North America like a wildfire - and like any forward thinking place of business, they want to get in on the mobile business to keep their show on the road. Therefor they've created Target Mobile Store, or simply "mobile" by Target Brand and powered by Simplexity - this group, if you did not know, only handles online sales of cell phones and wireless service, thus you wont see "SIMPLEXITY" plastered all over the electronics department at your local physical Target location. Inside the store you'll find an endcap with four devices, a wall full of display units, and several aisles away you'll find two Apple displays, another aisle containing two Android tablets.

Target to offer HTC Sensation 4G for $199.99

Of all the Android smartphones that have been announced over the last couple of months the one that has me most interested is the HTC Sensation 4G. This smartphone has a big screen, powerful processor and lots more to offer. It will certainly be one of the more popular smartphones out there. The big downside to the Sensation 4G smartphone is that the device will have a signed bootloader meaning users may not be able to load custom ROMs. Most smartphone makers are moving to unlocked bootloaders.

iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 hit Target on Nov 7

iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 hit Target on Nov 7

You can supposedly walk into a local Walmart location and buy the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS for a while now. My local location has had an iPhone 4 display up with iPhone 3GS' sitting there for months now. I can't figure out if the people working the booth are just stupid or if they are trying to trick people who don’t know any better into buying the 3GS thinking it’s the iPhone 4.

iPhone Heading to Target and Sam’s Club

Earlier this month, Target began selling Apple's tablet device, the iPad, and it looks like the national discount chain doesn't plan on stopping there. According to AppleInsider, people familiar with the matter have expressed that the iPhone is next in line to drop onto Target store shelves. Talk amongst district and store managers increased over the last few months, which ultimately lead up to the recent availability of the iPad, and persists with the upcoming availability of the iPhone.

iPad Now Available in Target Stores, and Amazon Directly

Apple's tablet device, the iPad, may not be seeing the best usage numbers from new purchasers, but that's not stopping the Cupertino-based company from trying to get the tablet into any available retailer they can. Just after a week of being available at every Best Buy electronics retailer across the United States, the iPad is now available for purchase from Target stores across the country. But, perhaps most noteworthy, is the fact that Amazon is now selling the iPad directly, and no longer relying on third party resellers.
