The TAG Heuer Mikrotimer Flying 1000 Concept watch is being touted as the fastest chronograph watch ever made. The mechanisms inside are so advanced and finely tuned that it can track time down to 1/1000th of a second, which is 300 times faster than a human blink. To see the watch in action, continue after the cut for the demo video.

The watch is measuring out 1/1000ths of a second at 500 Hz, meaning that the small balance wheel inside goes back and forth 3.6 million times an hour. At that many beats per hour, most mechanical systems would shatter. Your average Rolex can measure only about 28,800 beats per hour and would likely not be able to go beyond 50,000 beats per hour.

Hence, the TAG Heuer Mikrometer Flying 1000 Concept watch is one powerful little machine. As one reviewer put it: “a completely mechanical device that runs faster than a sports car engine and comes in a package about as big as a silver dollar.”

Now we don’t know what you’ll need to time with such precision, but even if you had the need, the watch isn’t available just yet. It’s still a concept at this point, but in the meantime you can watch it in action below.

I am familiar with the Tag-Heuer brand as the maker of some really cool watches. I didn’t know the company also made glasses. The company is showing off an interesting set of glasses that are for nighttime driving.

The eyewear line has Squadra Night Vision optics, which aren’t night vision like you might hope where you can see in darkness. These night vision optics lenses are designed to give the driver better vision and more resolution when driving.

I guess the optics work decently enough, they have been used by numerous profession racing drivers during night races. The glasses promise to reduce eye fatigue and come in two shapes. Each of the shapes will set you back $450.

Most of us are after mobile phones that offer the features we want to keep us entertained and working. For normal geeks that means we look to feature packed devices like the sexy new Motorola DROID. For the wealthy user often form comes before function and this type of user wants a phone that looks good. For the well-heeled mobile phone fan TAG Heuer has a new mobile phone called the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone.

The handset is housed in 316L stainless steel covered in black titanium carbide. The device is built with design cues from the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 super car. Each phone is engraved on the back with its limited edition number and the keyboard has the Lamborghini trademark bull logo.

The crystal of the device is made from 60.5 carats of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Battery life is promised to be seven hours of talk time and 28 days on standby. Other features include a backlit stainless steel keypad, 2MP camera, audio playback capability, and dual LCD screens. The top screen is an OLED with a resolution of 96 x 16 and the front screen is 1.9-inches with a 240 x 320 resolution. The device supports MMS, SMS, WAP browsing, PC sync, and worldwide GSM/GPRS networks. Pricing is unknown, but you know what they say about if you have to ask. It will be sold through select Lamborghini and TAG Heuer retailers.

TAG Heuer products have always been about luxury and they probably always will be. But the company typically noted for its out of this world watches is now releasing a bluetooth headset that’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

This new headset only weighs 40 grams and takes up residence in a flash drive when not attached to your ear. The flash drive doubles as a USB charger, so you can take the device with you anywhere at anytime to have a chat. It’s capable of up to 4-hours of talk time.

The sleek design of this TAG Heuer model means there are absolutely no cords used. And that means less bulk in your pocket when on the go and a decreased likelihood of malfunction. Unfortunately, we have no word on pricing or when this gadget will be available, but you can pretty much bet on it being expensive.

Looking for a watch to satiate even the lowest educated person in your family? So what Uncle Bobby can’t read an analog clock, just get him this watch and he can work on it in his spare time and still be on time.

On one side there is a very professional looking analog face that looks great. Then you can flip it over to reveal the LCD-powered digital face. Sure its an LCD but it keeps it simple with a light on dark approach.

The watch, or watches depending on how you look at it, is water resistant for up to 50 meters it also has day, date, alarm and chronograph features. Now comes the downside, it’ll run you a smooth $7g’s each.
