Samsung may say that the use of PenTile on its Super AMOLED HD displays is in order to keep it working for longer, but is the company holding out on us? SamMobile has heard from a source saying that the current Tizen prototype being used features a Super AMOLED HD Plus display, indicating the use of a full RGB matrix. Samsung picks Pentile for Galaxy S III
The Samsung Galalxy S III is now live for the whole world to see, and Samsung has made a decision for its display that might surprise you: HD Super AMOLED. This means that the massive 4.8-inch display on the Galaxy S III is not AMOLED+ like the Galaxy S II, thusly having its 720p panel working with PenTile RBGB pixel arranging. This makes it extremely similar to the Galaxy Nexus which of course also uses the same technology.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Revealed with Super AMOLED Plus Display
What we’ve come to understand is the world’s first mobile tablet utilizing the ultra-bright and lovely Super AMOLED Plus display from Samsung is the Galaxy Tab 7.7, a 7-inch device made for ultimate viewing quality and portability. It’s this week at IFA 2011 in Berlin that we’re being shown some of the biggest and brightest Android-based devices Samsung has ever offered up, this 7.7-inch display-having tablet now what’s essentially the biggest brightest tablet on earth. This tablet also features a fantastically powerful 1.4GHz dual-core processor as well as an ultra-small chassis at just 7.89 millimeters thin and 335 grams (12 ounces) in weight.
Samsung Leads the Way to Wider Smartphones All Around
Earlier today we reported that Samsung had been reconsidering everything about itself as a device manufacturer, from the way it uses information technology to the way it merges and acquires other companies to the definition in its AMOLED screens. The latter point may be the most interesting in this case, especially since the term Super AMOLED HD, that being one better than Super AMOLED Plus is one that’s been spoken in regards to the next generation in the brightest display on the planet. With this news comes word that Samsung will be shrinking down the size of full high-definition screens to fit inside larger smartphones – brightness awaits!
Samsung Galaxy Q 5.3-inch hybrid phone/tablet tipped for IFA 2011
Samsung is believed to be readying a new tablet/smartphone hybrid, the Samsung Galaxy Q, for official unveil at IFA 2011 in September. The 5.3-inch device would slot in-between the company’s Android handset and Galaxy Tab slate lines, Yahoo News Korea reports, citing industry sources close to Samsung.
Report of Verizon Releasing Galaxy S II in July is Just a Rumor
Reports that Verizon will be launching Samsung’s Galaxy S II next month are not correct. Apparently Verizon was originally quoted as saying the Galaxy S II will be released in July, when they later clarified their statement saying they actually meant the Samsung Galaxy Tab would appear in July. The carrier will still probably release the Galaxy S II, just at a later date. We have been looking forward to the US release ever since we got our hand on the European version back in April. We will just have to wait a little longer.

iPad 3 AMOLED plans led Apple COO Tim Cook to Samsung meet?
Samsung Mobile and Apple may be at each others' throats in the courtroom right now, over allegations that the Galaxy range of phones and tablets too closely mimic the iPhone and iPad, but relations between other Samsung divisions and Apple are reportedly going from strength to strength. A source apparently told The Korea Herald this week that "Apple wants to tap into Samsung’s AMOLED technology for an upgraded version of the iPad 2, considered as many as the iPad 3 that is likely to be launched toward the end of this year" the Asia News Net reports, with COO (and acting-CEO) Tim Cook allegedly flying in to meet with senior-level Samsung execs in South Korea.

Infuse 4G Review
How big is too big? It’s an important question when you’re looking at the Samsung Infuse 4G, AT&T’s latest HSPA+ smartphone and a device that’s as sizable face-on as it is slender from the side. Samsung/AT&T Event, Infuse 4G Announced [Update: Available May 15]
We're here at the Samsung AT&T event, and the big announcement is...the Samsung Infuse 4G. Philip Berne has called this phone "remarkably light", weighing less than the Nexus S, even with a screen that's half an inch larger, and with a bigger battery. Plus, it has that stunning, tear-inducing Super AMOLED Plus display that we love so much on the Droid Charge. If AT&T can get this on the market super quick, they might be the first to do so.
