Sony to post first loss in 14 years

In fact they are the exact opposite as several of them are showing significant loss. Sony is about to post their first loss in 14 years and its nothing to laugh at.

Japan’s Nikkei and Reuters are both reporting that losses for the fiscal year ending in March could hit $1.1 billion. Nikkei said that they might even hit closer to $2 billion if things keep going the way they are. Needless to say this is the exact opposite as they said foretasted a $2.2 billion profit. So what could have gone wrong between then and now?

Samsung and Armani partner up for new LCD Television – for the brand-whore in you

The screen stats are as follows: they are 1080p LCD panels, they come in 46 or 52 inch sizes, and they have a 100MHz refresh rate, HDMI ports, and a color changing logo on the TV. They also come with two remotes, a small pebble-shaped one that does the basics of changing channels and upping the volume, the second is a larger backlit one that controls everything, hence-forth referred to as the Uber-mote.

Mitsubishi projector really cheap at Circuit City

Now, this isn’t really cheap in comparison to a box of paperclips, but for the home theater buffs looking for a high-end, but comparatively cheap projector Circuit City has your pot of gold. The projector is a Mitsubishi HC4900 which offers up 1920×1080 resolution also known as 1080p, a 7.5k:1 contrast ratio, and a thousand ANSI lumens.

Apple tracking iPhones through weather and stock applications

Recent strings found in the Weather and Stock applications on the iPhone, and the iPod Touch indicate that Apple is tracking where you are and what stocks you’re looking up. Whenever you access the Stock or Weather application the data is sent to an Apple.com URL along with your IMEI (the fingerprint of any GSM cell phone).
