LEGO + Star Wars + Remote control = Awesome. A dude going by the name Ickelpete has apparently been working on the bot of awesome you see here since last year. The dude has work in progress pictures on his flickr page that go back to last summer showing him at work on various parts of this little droid. The finished product appears to be life-size. Star Wars Kinect special edition Xbox 360 bundle gets droid makeover

Microsoft and LucasArts have revealed a special Star Wars themed Xbox 360 console, the "Kinect Star Wars" bundle, intended to tie in with the new game of the same name. Shown for the first time at Comic-Con this week, the custom console looks to Star Wars' droids for its inspiration: the 360 itself is dressed as R2-D2, while the included controller gets a C-3PO makeover. I was too young to catch the first two Star Wars flicks when I was a kid in the theater. I did watch Return of the Jedi in the theater about six times in one week when it opened though. I called both my grandparents and my various aunts and uncles looking for anyone to take me to see it again. Hoverbike Brings Return of the Jedi to Life

Chris Malloy of Australia has developed a hoverbike that looks strikingly familiar. This is the first generation prototype that has some definite similarities to the science fiction floating cycles seen in the Lucas film. It is not currently in production, but Chris hopes to bring them to market in about a year. The bike is classified as an ultralite, so there is currently no need of a pilot’s license to operate one. Star Wars coming to Xbox Kinect

Star Wars fans the wait is over. Microsoft is bringing a Star Wars title to the Xbox lineup. Although not clear on the exact title, it appears to be simply Star Wars Kinect. The body control of the Kinect puts you in direct control of the action. Not clear on the voice control capability, they didn’t show any voice control functions in today’s reveal. LEGO-licious Star Wars Sandcrawler used 10,000 bricks

I mentioned a cool LEGO kit yesterday that is the largest Technic set LEGO has ever offered at about 2,000 pieces. That LEGO kit is nothing compared to this DIY LEGO construct that Marshal Banana spent nine months building. That is a long time for the birthing process of a 3-foot long 10,000-piece Star Wars Sandcrawler. I would have never finished something this epic. I guess like most neighborhoods, mine is apparently packed with mostly idiots. Few here have a sense of humor and they don't really tolerate anything out of the norm. I guess that's why the homeowners association doesn't like my yard. We all have these big rolling trashcans and if you leave it on the curb more than 15 seconds after the truck rolls off, you will get a warning notice in the mail. Star Wars ads mock Microsoft Windows 7 Ads in epic manner

I bet we have all seen those goofy ads that Microsoft uses to push Windows 7. The ads are designed to make you think that everyone had a hand in designing Windows 7 and shows supposedly real people in various settings as they had ideas for features that are in Windows 7 today.
