George Lucas “constantly talking” to JJ Abrams about Star Wars sequels

Most Star Wars fans will admit the George Lucas hasn't always made the best decisions for the franchise. The original trilogy were some the most popular science fiction films ever made but the later three films in the franchise left a lot of fans angry. When George Lucas made the decision to step away from Star Wars and sold the franchise to Disney, some feared bad things were in store for the franchise.

Star Wars: Tiny Death Star brings Tiny Tower to space for iOS and Android

Disney Mobile announced this weekend that it is collaborating with LucasArts and Nimblebit to create a new Star Wars-themed version of Tiny Tower, the multi-platinum 8-bit game for Android and iOS that lets you build little towers with little people while your real house crumbles under long-term neglect. Now the Third Party Relations team is happy to bring former LucasArts producer Gio Corsi aboard here several months after the closing of LucasArts in early 2013.

What we're seeing this afternoon is a series of new teaser videos from the creators of the ultra-popular franchise showing off new characters (of which there are set to be over 30, believe it or not) arriving in the game Angry Birds Star Wars II. This game is set to run the expanse of the galaxy, without a doubt.

Star Wars TV show a possibility as Lucasfilm chats with ABC

Now that Disney owns both Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm (and Star Wars therein), the company has begun taking liberties with its wares, speaking this week with ABC about the possibility of a Star Wars-themed television show. This is hardly unprecedented, as the Marvel Comics television adaptation of the secret organization behind The Avengers hit the airwaves earlier this year in a show called Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., also with ABC. There's also a cartoon delivery vehicle for Star Wars in The Clone Wars, a show broadcast through Cartoon Network.
