Imperial TIE Fighter Webcam; fun but not for conferencing

, Aug 16th 2008 Discuss [0]

If you get weak in the knees whenever you see a new Star Wars gadget, then you won't be able to pass up the Imperial TIE Fighter Advanced X1 Webcam. And though this may be more intended for die hards of that galaxy far, far away, there are a few notable features that are pretty practical. Read The Full Story

Despite denial from Namco, Vader and Yoda are both on the Soul Calibur IV disc

There have been rumors floating around that we'll be able to see both Yoda and Darth Vader in the same version of Soul Calibur IV. Unfortunately the director of the game, Katsutoshi Sasaki officially stated that “we don't have any plans for that.” How interesting, since we have footage of the two Force-wielders going at it. Hit the jump to check it out. Read The Full Story

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed demo coming next month

, Jul 30th 2008 Discuss [0]

One of the games I'm looking forward to the most this year is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Thankfully it seems that we'll only need to wait until August to get our first real hands-on look at the title, as LucasArts recently announced that the demo will be coming next month. Read The Full Story

Original T.I.E. Fighter filming model goes on sale for $170k

, Jul 29th 2008 Discuss [4]

Rich?  Love Star Wars?  Obsessed with collecting models used in the making of the original films?  Did I mention rich already?  You'll need to be almost obscenely wealthy to win this eBay auction: one of four original T.I.E. Fighter models used in the filming of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.  In fact, this is the Fighter that helpfully collided with Darth Vader and allowed Luke to blow up the Death Star, constructed from resin and cannibalized parts from other model kits.  The auction doesn't officially kick off until August 1st, but if you fancy you could drop an absentee bid at the starting price of $170,000. Star Wars Mimobot Series 3

, Jul 25th 2008 Discuss [0]

My thoughts on the Star Wars Mimobots is always a little shaky. Thus far there are very very few that I would actually consider forking out the cash for. However, I'm actually really liking series three. Read The Full Story

We've been hearing rumors about a possible KOTOR MMO for what seems like ages now. Most recently we've seen a few trademark filings from LucasArts that sounded an awful lot like an MMO. Well we finally have our official confirmation on the matter from EA. Read The Full Story

New Star Wars game trademarks registered by Lucasarts

, Jul 14th 2008 Discuss [0]

I remember back when Star Wars Galaxies was announced, being the Star Wars nut that I am, I was about as excited as one could get. I won't go into the disappointment that the game became, but I have been getting my hopes up that the rumors of a new MMO set in a galaxy far, far away. Well, a few new trademark filings from LucasArts has added fuel to the fire that such a new game is in the works. Read The Full Story

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is easily one of the games that I am most excited about this year. Sure, I get excited about most Star Wars games (what can I say, I'm a Star Wars geek), however, this one looks particularly awesome. Entertainment Weekly managed to get ahold of a new trailer that will rock your socks off. Read The Full Story

Amazon slates Star Wars Battlefront III for a March 2009 release

The internet is a strange creature. With vast amounts of information readily available at our fingertips, we can find out nearly anything with a few keywords and clicks. Usually it turns out to be good for us, and bad for large companies that wish to keep some information private. For instance, I'm pretty sure that LucasArts didn't want us to know about Star Wars Battlefront III just yet. Read The Full Story

Nintendo DS Star Wars Stylus

, Jul 3rd 2008 Discuss [2]

So far I had thought that the only cool accessory to go with the DS was a case and maybe some kind of a skin to go with it. There are only so many things you can pair with one electronic. Well Nintendo DS has proven me wrong, they have created a lightsaber stylus. Read The Full Story

Star Wars Galaxies gets its own trading card game

There have been a lot of Star Wars games over the years, many of which have been a lot of fun. Then there have been the games that were downright terrible (I'm looking at you Masters of Teräs Käsi). Of course Star Wars Galaxies manages to fit into both categories, as it was once a great game, then was subsequently ruined by SOE. Yes, they've made improvements, but it'll never be as great as it once was. I know what would really help Galaxies out; a trading card game. Read The Full Story
