EA has announced that Amy Hennig, who worked on the Uncharted franchise, has joined Visceral Games. Hennig left Naughty Dog last month, and has apparently decided to come on-board with EA specifically to work on a new Star Wars game. EA secured the gaming rights to StarWars after Disney Purchased it from LucasFilm, then shuttered their in-house game development team.
While we’ve still gotten no solid answers on if C-3PO will be making an appearance, it would seem that the one and only R2-D2 will indeed be ready for action for Star Wars 7. Confirmed by Disney chief Robert Iger in an analyst call this week via the LA Times, R2-D2 will be the first character that definitely, certainly be in this segment of the film series.
The video game Star Wars: The Old Republic has had a difficult road. The game started out as a MMORPG that needed a monthly subscription. That changed quickly after launch when the number of players started to decline drastically. One of the good things about the game is that it is now free to play and many expansions for it are in the works.
For the first time since Return of the Jedi, Star Wars will begin filming in a month other than June. Announced this week was a May 2014 "first day of principal photography" date set in stone, this veering off a bit from the schedules set with Episodes I, II, and III. Star Wars (later renamed Star Wars: A New Hope), started filming on March 22nd, 1976, while The Empire Strikes Back started March 5th, 1979, and Return of the Jedi began timing on January 11th, 1982.
Today the entirety of the current collection of Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated episodes is ready for devouring on Netflix. This is part of an initiative in which Netflix will also push the next chapter of Star Wars’ animated series with "Rebels", here sticking with the full 6-year series in full. Most seasons work with the same amount of episodes, starting with the first season from 2008 with 22 episodes at full length.

Netflix has announced a big win for fans of the Star Wars universe. Netflix has signed with an agreement with Disney and Lucasfilm that will see the sixth and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars as a Netflix subscriber exclusive. The show will air in the US and Canada starting on Friday, March 7.
