With the HTC One hitting the streets in the United States very, very soon, we thought it time to take a peek at what the good folks at Spigen SGP had to offer in the way of screen protection. As it turns out, the protection of the display you’ve got on the HTC One is just about the easiest job a screen protection company will ever have as it’s just one big rectangle. Of course you don’t want to slap on just any old protector when it comes to your several hundred dollar machine though, so it’s Spigen SGP to the rescue!

What we’ve got here is the HTC One Ultra Crystal Steinheil “enhanced optical hard coated film.” It ends up protecting your display with a single sheet of hard coated 4H over back and forth, up and down, and adding the protector is easy as pie. With a Spigen SGP screen protector you’ve got only to peel off one side, stick it flat, peel the other side, and poof- there it is.

What you’re seeing above and below is the HTC One’s display set to a bit dimmer setting than what it’s capable of – the transparency of the screen protector we’re looking at here is absolute. There’s no discernable effect on the brightness or the sharpness of the screen when you place this protector on.

Be sure to check out our HTC One Review as well as our AT&T HTC One Review for all the HTC One action you can handle!

You need no special spray to stick this film to your smartphone’s display, you’ll have just as much touch sensitivity as you had before applying, and you’ll no longer have to worry about gouges and scratches from the top of your reinforced glass to the bottom. This protector is going to run you $13.99 USD and is available right this minute straight from Spigen SGP!

This isn’t the first screen protector, case, or other oddity we’ve seen from Spigen SGP – in fact that’s rather far from the truth!

This week we got the opportunity to have a chat with Sue Choe of Spigen SGP at ShowStoppers during CES 2013, and she brought with her a backpack full of goodies for us to look at – the backpack itself being one of the best! This is the Spigen SGP New-Coated Backpack made specifically for the multi-device citizen amongst us, working with so many pockets inside that you’ll never be able to fill them all up! And it’s rather fashionable, too.

This backpack has 11 main storage spaces made for your laptop, tablet, mouse, chargers, pencils and pens, smartphone, and whatever else you’ve got that you simply must bring with you on a regular basis. The inside is lined with some extremely soft synthetic fur in a couple of the most important places, keeping your most precious high-quality devices scratch-free no matter how many times you push them in or pull them out.

As you’ll see Sue demonstrate, this backpack looks deceptively simple in its outward appearance. You’ve got several color choices including Black, Orange Brown, Gray, Khaki (green), and a lovely shade of Navy blue, each of them with their own complimenting accent colors. The pack has padding galore on the back so you’ll be comfortable all day long as well as padding underneath so you can set your back down on the ground without worrying you’ll be smashing your devices.

Have a peek at the hands-on photos and video we’ve got here and be sure to check this bag out in the near future up on Spigen SGP’s own online store. You’ll be able to pick this back up for $99.99 USD immediately if not soon for you and yours. Also be sure to check the rest of our Showstoppers 2013 coverage and our massive CES portal, too!

The case we’ve got here from Spigen SGP is easily the most form-fitting unit we’ve get had our hands on for the iPhone 5, and it’s quite the looker, too. This is the Spigen SGP SGP10091 Armor Slim Case for iPhone 5, and after you’re done with that mouthful, you’ll want to know that works with both a relatively hard-yet-rubbery TPU base and a polycarbonate midsection for both a bounce-factor and a hardcore beat-up protection assurance.

This case comes in three different color combinations, the one we’re working with here called Satin Silver. The other two options are Metal Slate and Gunmetal – very fashionable indeed. The different centers and covers are interchangeable, too, so if you’re thinking about getting the full collection, you can mix light and dark! We’re all about the light with our White iPhone 5, mind you.

This case allows a rectangular opening for your mute switch / rotation lock that’s accessible but not overly wide. Your volume buttons are covered by the TPU casing with + and – symbols so you still know what you’re pressing, the same being true of your power/lock button up top (without the symbols). On the bottom of the device you’ve got a slim opening for your Lightning port wide enough for your standard Apple Lightning cord.

The bottom also has a set of grilles that allow your audio to continue blasting forth from your device like wild. The headphone port – one of the most important points on any case for case maniacs like us – is slightly wider than the hole – as it should be! Spigen SGP makes a point of noting that Apple EarPods and “earbuds with L-shaped plug (within 6.17mm diameter) including Beats by Dr.Dre” are compatible with this case specifically.

We’ve got an odd assortment of accessories for you to peek at here, most of them being cases and protections of different sorts for some of the more popular devices on the market – but there are some weird bits as well. It’s really difficult to go entirely wrong with accessories for your gift-getting-buddies as long as you know which device you’re accessorizing – and if you’re accessorizing an Apple device, it’ll be like hitting the broad side of a barn! There are so many Apple device accessories out there you’ll have an intensely difficult time not happening upon a collection at any accessory-laden store you head to. We’ve got some gems for you here, that’s for sure.

The folks at Spigen SGP have come correct time after time after time this year with accessories that several SlashGear editors are still currently using on the regular. We saw winners everywhere from the Crumena leather pouch for the HTC One X to the double-dose of Galaxy S III cases that just started the flood. What Spigen SGP really brings the fire with – and something we basically guarantee will make your gift-opener say “oh this is weird and awesome” is the glass cover collection. It’s literally a pane of glass that protects the glass that’s already protecting your smartphone’s display – have a peek at our experience with the GLASt for iPad as well as the GLASt and Ultimate Class for iPhone 4S, not to mention the brand new GLAS.tR for iPhone 5 – they make a beastly collection of Galaxy S III screen protectors as well – thick and curved, even!

Also for the iPhone 5 as well as the 4 and 4S you’ll want to peek at the super odd and undeniably cute LOOP Mummy case – out for iPhone 5 immediately if not soon, mind you. For the pop-top bottle lovers out there – root beer, of course – there’s intoxicase with built-in cap opener. The most unique back-plate protection we saw this year has to have been the SkinIt etched metal plate for the back of the iPhone 4S – weird and wild! Both the Acradie and the Element Case Vapor Dock are iPhone accessories you’ll not know how you lived without, and the lovely Brookstone HDMI Pocket Projector for your iOS devices will bring you hours of giant projected light joy.

As for the iPad and its accessory collection that simply does not stop, you’ll want to start with the most hardcore carrying case that exists for the beast – the G-Form Extreme Portfolio Case complete with massive drop-tests from many stories up above the surface of the earth. The folks at Griffin have been working with the designers at Threadless to create some lovely iPad cases too – though not exactly outer-space ready, if you’re in to that sort of thing. Both the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover and the Brookstone Bluetooth Keyboard Pro for iPad have been treating us well throughout the year. If you’re just in the market for a unique sort of stand for your tablet (and it doesn’t just have to be the iPad), you’ll want to check out the Octa iPad Whale Tail kit.

Another special mention goes out to Moshi, a brand we first laid eyes on earlier this year at CTIA 2012. The folks at Moshi create both accessories and stand-alone products that enhance your mobile experience as well as your notebook action, with everything from clear cases for your MacBook Air and iPad to a versatile collection of iPhone 5 cases of all shapes and sizes. They’re responsible for what was easily the most unique case/cover combo with the iGlaze Versacover for iPad – complete with magnets – and they’ve even got under-MacBook cooling fans, too – and they work well!

It’s time again for the hardcore excellence of Spigen SGP with their newest in all-glass screen protectors for mobile devices – here with the GLAS.tR for the iPhone 5. This screen protector takes the protection of your iPhone 5′s front-facing display more than just a little seriously – making sure that not only to do you get the most hardcore glass protection with a super 8H hardness rating, but round edges as well. The R in the title of this product stands for “rounded”, a noted improvement on the edges of this protector compared to previous releases from Spigen.

Here you’ve got a protector that works with cases on the back if you want, but is now completely ready to be a fabulous addition to your iPhone 5 on its own as well – if that’s what you want, of course. When we used the previous version for the iPhone 4S, things got a little bit sharp – not dangerous, but ever so slightly odd feeling. Here with rounded edges the whole protector through, we’ve got a solid-feeling experience, and ever so smooth.

This unit is 0.4mm thick and made with chemically treated glass that makes is oleophobic – this is supposed to prevent fingerprints, but mostly makes for a slight less fingerprint-y experience on the whole. Application was absolutely easy and the package brings cleaning wipes if you need them as well as a sqee-gee – though you CAN apply it all without them, no worries. This unit also comes already adhesive coated, so no need for odd sprays of any kind.

Without GLAS.tR

With GLAS.tR

You have a hole in the glass for your speaker up top and a hole at the bottom for your home button. The home button will be a bit lower in your iPhone experience, which actually makes for a unique and oddly enticing situation, but you also get some home button pillow stickers you can use to raise it back up if you like. Two blacks, two whites, a terrifying lime/yellow and a cute pink, too. Match with your case!

If you do come in contact with a force that’s strong enough to break the glass, you’ll find that the unit’s Anti-Shatter Film has your back. The Glas.tR will turn into a bit of a folded-up monster of death, but you wont be hurt, and your iPhone 5 will still be fresh and undamaged as ever. This unit will cost you a cool $34.99 in the Spigen SGP store and is available right this minute.

This week you’ll be seeing the oncoming wave of Samsung Galaxy S III cases get just a little bit sweeter as SPIGEN SGP enters the race with two new bits of protection for themselves. First is the Folio faux leather case which closely resembles the Samsung-made flip-cover we saw with the release of the AT&T and T-Mobile editions of the phone. Then there’s the Ultra Thin Air, a back-only case which comes with a Steinheil plastic coat screen protector for the front of the device.

The Ultra Thin Air case is rather simply, lending a UV Matte coated extra tiny layer of plastic to the back and sides of your device while it remains tiny enough to not cause you to wonder if it’s worth the effort to protect your phone. You’ve got the ULTRA NANO CLEAR screen protector in the box as well, so your front will be fine for the duration of your Galaxy S III experience. This case is available in 8 colors, the one we’re looking at here being “Smooth Black.”

Next is the Folio faux leather case, this one acting like a smooth operator by fitting perfectly around the sides, front, and back of your device, holding it in place for the cover to come around the left and over the top. The cover also has a business card slot so you’re never without. The whole case feels rather nice, but just like the Samsung-made flip-cover, the same problem remains: the cover doesn’t attach to anything, so it’s always flopping open. Of course just like a baseball glove, eventually it’ll find its place and will stay down without effort – but if you’re without patience, watch out.

This case also comes in three colors, the one we’re looking at here being “Navy Blue.”

This week we’ve gotten tot take a peek at SPIGEN SGP‘s latest addition to their extensive line of mobile device accessories with the Crumena Leather Pouch in white – made specifically for the HTC One X. This pouch is skillfully crafted with a single stitch lining its perimeter, has a soft fuzzy set of innards, and comes embossed with the Crumena series logo. This pouch fits the HTC One X (international version or AT&T version) perfectly snug and keeps it safe in your pocket without effort.

This pouch has a little draw-pull on fabric with a leather tip that allows you to tug out your smartphone from its, again, snug fit in the pouch, and protects the device while it sits fashionably in your pocket. While its not often that SlashGear has touted the excellence of a pouch, opting for cases for smartphones, tablets, and the like on the whole, this lovely little beast is perfectly legitimate in both its function and its price – so why not?

Check out our review of the HTC One X for AT&T as well as our review of the original HTC One X (international edition) for a full understanding of the device to which this case belongs!

You’ll be dropping just $29.99 for this new HTC One X carrying accessory and can currently pick one up in either Black or Brown. The White version you see here will be available soon on SPIGEN SGP’s online store, but you’ll have to wait! Meanwhile hear this: the case we’ve got has not once let the smartphone loose without our request with a tug, and has kept the device wholly safe from scratches and damage otherwise while we’ve made use of it.

Pick one of these pouches up soon and take a peek at the rest of the SPIGEN SGP products we’ve had our hands on over the past few weeks and months as well – it’s interesting stuff!

Have a peek here at some new battery packs from the folks that bring you Glas.t and some of the most lovely Apple and Android-related products on the market today. You’ve got the SPIGEN SGP iPhone 4 / 4S Portable Mobile Battery Pack kuel f16s Series and the SPIGEN SGP Portable Mobile Battery kuel f60Q Series – a couple of mouthfuls in name, but certainly not in size. Both of these battery packs work with the iPhone, but the larger of the two also works with any device that uses USB-cord-drawn power and works with tablets as well as smartphones!

The smaller unit here contains 1620mAh of power, while the larger brings a wallop with a massive 6000mAh whenever you need it. Both chargers are cube-shapes with rounded edges for ultra safety and ultra smooth and comfortable carrying, and the larger of the two units here has the ability to switch between power outputs – Apple or Android, and tablets too!

Both of these devices are out on the market right now, available for purchase over at Spigen SGP’s website where you’ll find the smaller of the two costing you $68.99 and coming in three cool colors: black, white, or candy-coated pink! The larger of the two will cost you $124.99 and comes in white, and white only! Both packs work with a series of blue lights that show how much power they contain, and are made to match your Apple or Android products with their own ultra-simple aesthetic. Grab a bunch!

The folks at Spigen have sent us a pre-production GLAS.t unit for the 3rd generation iPad. This product is a sheet of protective glass which once you’ve removed a thin piece of paper coating affixes itself to the front of your iPad. Instead of protecting the already reinforced glass panel that exists on your iPad with the plastic of every other protective skin on the market, Spigen is bringing the strength that only another piece of glass can provide.

This isn’t the first time we’ve had a look at GLAS.t, the first time being when we got the same product for the iPhone 4/4S. This GLAS.t is essentially the same formulation as that one, here also working with Oleophobic Coated Chemically Treated Glass. Again the unit we’ve got here is pre-production and the chemicals (including the fixative that attaches the glass to the front of your iPad) are not finalized. That said, it all seems to be working extremely well as it is already. Have a peek at the application process here:

This pane of glass is 0.4mm thick and has a hardness of 8-9H, that being three times the stronger than your everyday average PET film. The Oleophobic coating on the glass makes the whole pane easy to clean, and the silicon adhesive that attaches the glass does so in a firm and non-intrusive enough way that your screen’s touch sensitivity will not be affected. Spigen has also noted that if GLAS.t does somehow break, it’s made to break into tiny pieces that are not sharp – we’ll see about that when the time comes!

Have a peek at the video to see the contents of the box you’ll get when you order this product in the mail, and let us know if you’ve got any questions of course! You can currently pre-order the GLAS.t for the new iPad for $69.99 from Spigen’s online store and can expect it to be shipped in 3-4 weeks.

Amongst the many different brands of protectors of the displays of the Apple iPhone line there is one, just one, that provides an entire extra layer of real tempered glass – Spigen. In the Spigen GLAS.t and the Ultimate Class Screen Protector you’ll find two of their solutions made entirely of glass and an ultra-thin impossible to see adhesive. Once you see how perfectly natural these bits of glass are working with the iPhone 4S, you’ll wonder why you’d not tried it on before yourself.

What you’re going to see here is the application process for both iterations of Spigen’s glass-based screen protector solution, one thick, one not quite as thick, both powerful in their protection and overall excellence. The Ultimate Class uses a kind of material called GP73 which allows it to be twice as thick as your favorite screen protector and will fit perfectly on your iPhone 4 or 4S display. This pane has a hole for the speaker, the home button, and the front-facing camera on your iPhone.

The GLAS.t is Spigen’s newest solution, this one made out of real Oleophobic Coated Chemically Treated Glass, another formula made for perfect protection of your device. This pane has just two holes, one for the speaker and one for the home button, and will not affect your camera’s vision in a perceivable way because of its transparency. The installation process on the GLAS.t is a bit more difficult because the pane is much more rigid than the Ultimate Class, but as you can see here in my first attempt, it’s certainly not impossible.

The thickness on the Ultimate Class is 0.2mm while the GLAS.t is twice as thick at 0.4mm, making the protection twice as great as well. Take a peek at the difference in thickness here, and feel the power!

I’ve used both panes now and can confidently say I’ve got no worries that any damage to the front of my iPhone will result in damage of the display – one good crack with a hammer might do it in, but then we’ll just need a new GLAS.t, and at these prices – why not?

You can pick up the GLAS.t for a grand total of $27.99 before shipping, and the ship date is currently set for the 24th of February. The Ultimate Class is currently out of stock, but is also set at $27.99 when it was available last. Now you’ve just got to go through the billion and a half backside covers for the iPhone and find one that rocks enough to utilize and you’ll be set!

The folks at Spigen have a brand new accessory for the iPhone 4/4S that they’d love for you to try out: the GLAS.t premium tempered glass screen protector. What makes this particular screen protector different from the hundreds of alternatives is it’s makeup: it’s not plastic, it’s Oleophobic Coated Chemically Treated Glass, their own formula! The front is transparent and the back is covered with a just-as-transparent silicon adhesive, and when properly applied, the entire shield has absolutely no effect on the touch sensitivity of your device.

When you want to protect glass, do you usually use more glass to get the job done? Not usually, of course not, no. But what we’ve got here is a reinforced bit of ultra-thin glass that will shatter if by some miracle you’re able to break it. The 0.4mm thickness will not only keep the excellent feel of the surface you paid for in your glass and metal smartphone, but will give you 8-9H hardness, three times the strength of your average PET film – try to scratch it, go on!

This unit will cost you the cool price of $27.99 and units are in stock right this moment. There’s only one color: transparent, and you’ll want to make sure you’re only picking one up if you’ve got an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 4S, as nothing else will do. Have a peek at an installation process in this lovely video. One shot and good to go!
