The Best of CES 2012
Welcome to our massive “best-of” wrap-up for CES 2012, complete with everything from smartphones to PCs and headphones and back, topped off with our own “most used gear” section for the curious. What you’ll find is that though there were more exhibitors, attendees, and media attention payed to the show than ever before, the overall result was a lot of the same gear re-hashed with a few new specifications. Bang & Olufsen has launched a new 65-inch plasma TV, the B&O BeoVision 12-65, along with a set of minimalist wall-mounted speakers, the B&O BeoLab 12. The BeoVision 12-65 uses an ultra slim NeoPDP panel and some clever optical trickery consisting of flexed metal strips to make the set look even narrower; it runs at Full HD, and has an integrated center-channel speaker for use with surround sound setups.

LG BH9420PW 3D home theater system delivers 9.1 channels
LG has previewed a quartet of new home theater systems ahead of CES 2012 next week, positioning the 3D speaker kits as ideal pairings for the company's own CINEMA 3D Smart TVs. The LG BH9420PW integrates what LG calls "3D Sound Zooming" tech, mapping the sound to follow the virtual position of the 3D image based on its on-screen depth.

Samsung reveals wireless Home Theater kit
Samsung's AirPlay-toting Audio Docks aren't the only home entertainment kit the company has for CES; there's also a three-strong line-up of home cinema speaker systems, ranging from 7.1-channel lounge-dominators to a slimline 2.1 speaker-bar setup. The Samsung HT-E6730W 7.1 Channel Blu-ray 3D Home Theater System is the most complex, packing 1,330W, a couple of towering column speakers with tilting cones to "vertically cascade" audio down on the listener, and integrated WiFi.

Philips Fidelio AS851 Review
