UK car audio specialists VIBE have launched their speaker and amplifier ranges in the US, beginning with the SPACE 3D component speakers and BlackBox Bass amplifiers. The VIBE SPACE 3D speaker range consists of either a two or three component setup, based around a 45mm midrange and a 38mm super tweeter, with the choice of either a 5- or 6-inch main driver. VIBE used the 3D system as part of their demo Audio R8, which was the 2008 Mobile Electronics News “Demo Car of the Year”.
Sony Ericsson have announced its new W705 Walkman phone, together with the MBS-900 Bluetooth 2.1 speaker. The W705 is a UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 slider with DLNA-compliant WiFi, shake control, a 2.4-inch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It comes complete with a 4GB memory card, supports SE’s Clear Bass and Clear Stereo audio DSP systems, and has Bluetooth to stream music either to headphones or to the MBS-900.
Maxell have updated their MXSP speaker dock to fit the latest iPod nano and touch models, as well as the iPhone. The MXSP-1100 is compatible with all Apple’s iPod and iPhone range thanks to a universal cradle, and has twin 4.2W speakers with 80Hz to 20kHz frequency range.
