The launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One brought about a frenzy to more than just the gamer front. According to Kaspersky Lab, coinciding with the consoles' respective launches, instances of cyber attacks skyrocketed as hackers sought -- and continue to seek -- to take advantage of the latest onslaught of gamers. Minecraft PS3 release set, PS4 and PS Vita move to 2014

One of the strangest break-out hits of our current generation of multi-platform games is Minecraft, a pixelated game that's headed to the PlayStation 3 this month. While the original Xbox 360 version was released all the way back in May of 2012, this 2013 PlayStation 3 release will be exactly the same, or as similar as the developers at Mojang could make it. This December 17th release also heads off the push to both the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita which will be occurring inside 2014.

Battlefield 4 gets sorely needed patch for Xbox One

Battlefield 4, the pride of EA Games and DICE, has received a long-awaited patch for the Xbox One. The next-gen game has undergone a series of unfortunate events in the form of connectivity problems, server issues, and in-game bugs and glitches. The problems were so bad and so widespread that they dealt EA's stock a blow in the stockmarket. Hopefully the patch will get things back to a more-or-less copacetic state of being.
