Hello Kitty, B&O, Kevin Tong grace Android Wear faces

Smartwatches are no longer just geeky extensions of your smartphone wrapped around your wrist. They have also become fashion statements, some with changeable watch straps but most with customizable watch faces. Last December, Google unveiled its first special collection of watch faces for Android Wear, ranging from the artistic, like Un Petit Mode, to the whimsical, like Plants vs. Zombies. Now the Android maker is announcing its new batch of 17 watch faces that you can get, all for free, to make your Android Wear smartwatch match your mood, your style, or even your interests.

Now that the Apple Watch has reached Apple Stores for the first time yesterday, now not 24 hours later we've got details on the second generation. Estimates put Apple Watch sales at 2.8M in US, 17% bought extra band

We've heard several comments from Apple recently, including Tim Cook himself, about how the company is more than "thrilled" with how well the Apple Watch has been selling, however we've yet to get any official numbers from Cupertino. Slice Intelligence, a research firm specializing in digital commerce, on the other hand, have said they estimate that 2.79 million units of the wearable have been sold in the U.S. in its first two months of availability.

Apple Watch takes a prominent role in Quebec airport

This could prove to be a boon to the Apple Watch's presence or at least to Apple's list of customers. This could also be the publicity boost that wearables in general need to prove that they are not merely eccentric electronic trinkets.

Try not to dance as DJ spins a set using Apple Watch

Algoriddim's DJ app, Djay has finally accomplished the insurmountable--making it possible to DJ from a smartwatch and to cool look while doing it. Djay introduced Apple Watch integration to its iOS app practically as soon as Apple Watch was released. The thought of DJing on a watch face sounds impractical, but as an auxiliary tool in a skilled DJ's arsenal, it's just another way to manipulate sound. In the video below, you can see a DJ control his set from Apple Watch. Like a cowbell mounted on a drum kit, it looks cool, but overuse can lead to an obnoxious set.

Apple's Watch becomes available for the masses straight through the company's physical stores after weeks of being on sale online. While the company's sales of the Apple Watch have been taking place through online pre-orders and general sale for the past several weeks, in-store availability had not been a reality anywhere around the world. Not at Apple Stores proper. That's changed this week, as stock has been sent to most official Apple Stores for full swing standard selling to everyday citizens.

Just what the Apple Watch needs: its own Flappy Bird clone

You may have finally escaped your Flappy Bird addiction from when it was dominating your smartphone screen, but image playing it in a new, simpler way, never thought possible. You could tap that bird and fail to clear those pipes, all from your wrist. It can all be made possible with the Apple Watch. Don't worry though, it won't be happening anytime soon, as the infamous game's appearance on the wearable is thanks to developer hacking the new watchOS 2, which makes this story funny, rather than incredibly sad.
